Pehchan (1975 Film)
''Pehchan'' is a 1975 Pakistani action-drama film directed by Pervaiz Malik. The film stars Nadeem and Shabnam, with Sabiha Khanam, Qavi Khan, and Munawar Saeed playing supporting roles. The film revolves around a family that lost its sole heir. The music was composed by Nisar Bazmi. It released on 1 August 1975 and was a success at the box office. At the 1975 Nigar Awards, the film received two awards. Plot The story starts when the mother of a young boy named Janu dies at a railway station. Afterwards, a rich woman's secretary takes him to her mistress's house. The Mistress welcomes Janu and raises him with her son, Rashid. While playing, Rashid mistakenly shoots Janu and runs away, leaving the city out of fear of being arrested. However, nothing happens to Janu and the bullet just touches him. Pervaiz Malik
Pervez Malik (1937 in Karachi – 18 November 2008) was a Pakistani film director. He was the director of Pakistan's first platinum jubilee film, " Armaan" (1966). He directed more than 20 films, mostly in Urdu language, and received excellent reviews for many of his films from both film critics and the public. Early life Pervez Malik was nine years old when Pakistan became independent in 1947. His family had a background in military service, but he was influenced by his class fellow, Waheed Murad, whose father, ''Nisar Murad'', ran a film distribution business, named Film Arts. With the passage of time, they both learned the art of making and marketing films from Nisar Murad and his colleagues who were mostly film-industry personalities. Masroor Anwar
Masroor Anwar (6 January 1944 – 1 April 1996) was a ghazal poet, film song lyricist and a film screenwriter. He wrote the lyrics for 'Ko Ko Korina', South Asia's first pop song, and working alongside Sohail Rana, film director Pervez Malik and film producer and actor Waheed Murad in the 1960s, was part of the country's golden age of cinema helping establish Karachi as a major hub for film production.
