Pedro Nieto (Spanish Military Officer)
Pedro Galindo Nieto, known as Pete Nieto (born c. 1941), is an attorney in Uvalde, Texas, who served a single term in the Texas House of Representatives in the former District 43 from 1993 until 1995. Nieto switched parties from Democrat to Republican in June 1993 after the close of that year's regular legislative session. In addition to his own Uvalde, District 43 included Dimmit, Frio, La Salle, Medina, Webb, and Zavala counties. Henry Cuellar
Enrique Roberto Cuellar (born September 19, 1955) is an American attorney and politician serving as the U.S. representative for since 2005. A member of the Democratic Party, he is considered one of the most conservative representatives in the Democratic caucus. His district extends from the Rio Grande to San Antonio's suburbs. , he was also the last Democrat to have held a statewide office in Texas. La Salle County is a county in Texas. As of the 2020 census, its population was 6,664. Its county seat is Cotulla. The county was created in 1858 and later organized in 1880. It is named for René-Robert Cavelier, Sieur de La Salle, a 17th-century French explorer. The CDP had a total area of 11.6 square miles (30.0 km2), all of it land. Prior to the 2010 census, the CDP lost area, reducing its total area to , all land.
