Peck Motorsports
Todd Michael Peck (born January 29, 1986) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes part-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 96 Toyota Tundra for Peck Motorsports. He has also raced in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and the X-1R Pro Cup Series. Racing career Xfinity Series Peck made his Xfinity debut at New Hampshire driving for Rick Ware Racing. Peck started 35th and finished 30th. It would be his only start of the year. In 2016, Peck ran occasionally for B. J. McLeod Motorsports, mostly in the No. 15 car. Peck recorded five top 30 finishes in 11 starts, and also failed to finish three races, including a last-place finish in the Lilly Diabetes 250. Pocono Raceway (formerly Pocono International Raceway), also known as ''The Tricky Triangle'', is a superspeedway located in the Pocono Mountains in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. The Toyota Tundra is a pickup truck manufactured in the United States by the Japanese manufacturer Toyota since May 1999. The Tundra was the second full-size pickup to be built by a Japanese manufacturer (the first was the Toyota T100), but the Tundra was the first full-size pickup from a Japanese manufacturer to be built in North America. The Tundra was nominated for the North American Truck of the Year award and was ''Motor Trend'' magazine's Truck of the Year in 2000 and 2008. Start And Park
Start and park is a term used in auto racing, particularly in NASCAR-sanctioned races, to describe the practice of racing teams starting races but pulling the car off the track after just a few laps in order to collect prize money while avoiding expenses such as replacement tires, engine wear and tear, and hiring a pit crew. The practice has existed due to the relatively high purse for even a back-of-the-pack finish, as well as the high costs of fielding a car for an entire race. While start-and-park entries occasionally act as "field fillers" (a term typically used outside of NASCAR when a small number of teams show up to a racetrack), the practice is criticized in instances when they take spots away from teams intending to run the full race. In some cases, a team will use a start-and-park car to help fund another competitive car in the same or a different series. Copp Motorsports was an American professional stock car racing team that competed in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. The team was owned by D. J. Copp. The team fielded the No. 63 Chevrolet Silverado part-time for Bobby Gerhart, Timmy Hill and Scott Stenzel. Copp purchased the assets of Contreras Motorsports in early 2017 to make the team. Norm Benning Racing is an American professional stock car racing team that currently competes part-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The team is owned by Norm Benning, who drives the No. 6 Chevrolet Silverado. History Norm Benning Racing opened in 1993, DNQ'ing all attempts by team owner Norm Benning in Cup competition. Benning began fielding the No. 8 and 84 car in the ARCA Menards Series, ARCA Racing Series in 1995 for himself and other drivers. Benning ran the team in four Nationwide races from 2003–2004. Phoenix Raceway is a 1-mile, low-banked tri-oval race track located in Avondale, Arizona, near Phoenix.
