Peacekeeping
Peacekeeping comprises activities intended to create conditions that favour lasting peace. Research generally finds that peacekeeping reduces civilian and battlefield deaths, as well as reduces the risk of renewed warfare. Within the United Nations (UN) group of nation-state governments and organisations, there is a general understanding that at the international level, peacekeepers monitor and observe peace processes in post-conflict areas, and may assist ex-combatants in implementing peace agreement commitments that they have undertaken. Such assistance may come in many forms, including confidence-building measures, power-sharing arrangements, electoral support, strengthening the rule of law, and economic and social development. Peacekeeper (NCIS)
The nineteenth season of the American police procedural television series ''NCIS'' premiered on September 20, 2021, on CBS, for the 2021–22 television season, and concluded on May 23, 2022. The season consisted of 21 episodes. ''NCIS'' revolves around a fictional team of special agents from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, which conducts criminal investigations involving the United States Navy and Marine Corps. Peacekeepers Way
Highway 125 is a 28 km long controlled-access highway located in Nova Scotia's Cape Breton Regional Municipality. The provincial government named it Peacekeepers Way on August 18, 2008. Part of the provincial 100-series arterial highway network, Highway 125 encircles the west side of Sydney Harbour, from an interchange with Highway 105 (the Trans-Canada Highway) at Sydney Mines to Trunk 4 (Grand Lake Road) immediately east of Sydney. Route description The northern third of the highway was upgraded during the late 1990s and early 2000s from a two-lane freeway to a twinned 4-lane freeway. Particularly problematic was the fact that the highway passes in proximity to Pottle Lake, the water supply reservoir for North Sydney, which required installation of pollution control monitoring and containment systems. Peacekeeper Park
Peacekeeper Park is an urban park in Calgary, Alberta. The park is located in the neighbourhood of North Glenmore, on the former grounds of Canadian Forces Base Calgary. The park includes a memorial wall with the names of Canadian Forces members who have given their lives on peacekeeping and peace support missions with the United Nations, NATO and other organizations since the end of the Second World War, including the current mission in Afghanistan. Description The park encompasses 1.85 hectares and includes a memorial Wall of Honour and statuary dedicated to Canadian peacekeepers. "Mark R. Isfeld presenting small knitted dolls to Bosnian children" (2003) by André Gauthier (sculptor) was erected at Peacekeeper Park in Calgary. "Peacekeeper" is a song by Fleetwood Mac, written by guitarist and vocalist Lindsey Buckingham, from the 2003 album '' Say You Will''. It was the first and most commercially successful single released from the album. This was also the band's 25th, and most recent song to debut in the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Peacekeeper Revolver
The Peacekeeper Revolver is the light gun released for the Philips CD-i multimedia system. It was released in 1994 and was bundled with ''Mad Dog McCree'', retailing for $60 (USD). The gun required manual calibration, accomplished via menu options in all supported games. It used an infrared device positioned next to the screen in order for it to register movement, making the Peacekeeper unusual compared to most other light guns of the era, which were reliant on the scanout of CRTs to function. The Peace Keepers
''The Peace Keepers'', known in Japan as is a beat 'em up video game released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1993. It is the third game and final game in the '' Rushing Beat trilogy'', following ''Rival Turf!'' and '' Brawl Brothers'', although the three games were localized as unrelated titles in North America. The game distinguishes itself from the rest of the series by shifting focus from the two main characters of the previous games (Douglas Bild and Rick Norton in Japan). It also adds a variety of new features including new special attacks, branching gameplay paths and multiple endings. Like the previous games in the series, ''The Peace Keepers'' features various changes from the original Japanese version.
