Payaswini
The Chandragiri River also known as Perumpuzha River is the longest river in Kasaragod district, Kerala, India. It was named after the Mauryan emperor Chandragupta Maurya. The 17th century Chandragiri Fort is located on the river. Perumpuzha river is considered the traditional boundary between the Tulu Nadu and Malayalam regions of Kerala from the fourteenth century AD onwards; before that it was north of Kumbala. The river originates in the Talakaveri Wildlife Sanctuary in the Western Ghats of Kodagu district, Karnataka. It flows through towns including Sullia, Jalsoor, Parappa,Adoor, Chengala, and Kasaragod, where it flows into the Arabian Sea. In Sullia taluk, it is the major water source for domestic and agricultural purposes. Kudumbur River
The Kudumbur River is a river that flows mainly through the Kasaragod district of the Indian state of Kerala, although its source and some early sections are in the Kodagu and Dakshina Kannada districts of Karnataka. It is the largest tributary of the Payaswini River. Course The Kudumbur's source is located in Talakaveri Wildlife Sanctuary in the Western Ghats of Karnataka. From its source it flows west, crossing into Kerala east of Panathur in Vellarikundu taluk. Its crosses the Kerala-Karnataka border west of Panathur, flowing again in Karnataka for a short distance before crossing back into Kerala east of Panathady. Dakshina Kannada district is a district of Karnataka state in India, with its headquarters in the coastal city of Mangalore. It is part of the larger Tulu Nadu region. Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary
Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the 21 Wildlife Sanctuaries in Karnataka, India. This sanctuary is located in Somwarpet taluk of the Kodagu district.
