Paul Tighe
Paul Desmond Tighe (born 12 February 1958) is an Irish prelate of the Catholic Church. He has been the Secretary of the Pontifical Council for Culture since his appointment on 28 October 2017. He is the joint highest-ranking Irishman in the Roman Curia, along with Bishop Brian Farrell. He was consecrated a bishop on 27 February 2016. He previously served as adjunct secretary of the same dicastery from December 2015 and as secretary of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications from 30 November 2007. Before that he was director of the Office for Public Affairs for the Dublin diocese. Biography Tighe was born in Navan, County Meath. He graduated from University College Dublin in 1979 with a BCL degree in Law. After studying for the priesthood in Holy Cross College in Clonliffe and at the Pontifical Irish College in Rome, he was ordained a priest of the Dublin archdiocese in St. Laurence O'Toole Church in Kilmacud in 1983. The Most Reverend
The Most Reverend is a style applied to certain religious figures, primarily within the historic denominations of Christianity, but occasionally in some more modern traditions also. It is a variant of the more common style "The Reverend". Anglican In the Anglican Communion, the style is applied to archbishops (including those who, for historical reasons, bear an alternative title, such as presiding bishop), rather than the style "The Right Reverend" which is used by other bishops. "The Most Reverend" is used by both primates (the senior archbishop of each independent national or regional church) and metropolitan archbishops (as metropolitan of an ecclesiastical province within a national or regional church). Claudio Maria Celli (born 20 July 1941), is an Italian prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. An archbishop, Celli was President of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications from 2007 to 2016. Biography Archbishop Celli was born in Rimini, and ordained to the priesthood on 19 March 1965. He graduated from the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy in 1966. In 1990, he became Undersecretary of the Relations with States (equivalent to foreign minister) section of the Vatican Secretariat of State. On 16 December 1995, Celli was appointed Secretary of the Administration of the Patrimony of the Apostolic See and Titular Archbishop of Cluentum. Mater Dei Institute of Education ( ga, Institiúid Oideachais Mater Dei) was a linked college of Dublin City University from 1999 until its closure in 2016, located in Drumcondra, Dublin City, Ireland, near Croke Park, on the site of what was formerly Clonliffe College, the Roman Catholic Seminary for the Archdiocese of Dublin. Ballyfermot () is a suburb town nw of the city aside Dublin, Ireland. It is located, seven kilometres (5 miles) west of the city centre, south of Phoenix Park, it is bordered on the north by Chapelizod, on the south by Bluebell; on the east by Inchicore, on the northwest by Palmerstown and the southwest by Clondalkin and Parkwest. Clonliffe
Clonliffe () is an area on the Northside of Dublin, Ireland, between Ballybough and Drumcondra in the Dublin 3 postal district. Location Clonliffe Road, previously known as Fortick's Lane, is a wide thoroughfare that forms the central artery of the area. It is nearly a mile in length. Near the area's border with Drumcondra there is an entrance to Holy Cross College, and to the grounds of the residence of the Archbishop of Dublin. The main access to Croke Park GAA sports ground is from Jones Road, the principal turn-off on the south side of Clonliffe Road. Holy Cross College (also known as Clonliffe College), located in Clonliffe Road, Drumcondra was founded in 1854 as the Catholic diocesan seminary for Dublin by Cardinal Paul Cullen. History The College was founded in 1859 by the then Archbishop of Dublin Paul Cullen, to provide priests for the Dublin diocese. In 1861 Rector of the Catholic University Bartholomew Woodlock tried to secure land in Clonliffe west to build a new Catholic University, however this plan was shelved due to the expansion of the railway line. Plans were drawn up by the Architect James Joseph McCarthy for the proposed new University, McCarthy a famous architect designed the college building.
