Paul Reine
Paul Reine (14 November 1932 – 9 October 2009) was a Norwegian forester, civil servant and politician for the Conservative Party. He grew up on the farm Gisletveit in Vegårshei. After graduation from the Norwegian College of Agriculture in 1960 he was a research assistant there until 1962, when he became municipal forest manager of Vegårshei and Tvedestrand. He advanced to county forest manager in 1972, county forest director in 1978, and director of the Norwegian Agriculture Agency from 1993 through 1997. He also chaired the Norwegian Forestry Society from 1987 to 1990, having been a board member since 1984. He also chaired Skogbrukets Kursinstitutt and the insurance company Skogbrand. The Conservative Party or The Right ( nb, Høyre, nn, Høgre, , H; se, Olgešbellodat) is a liberal-conservative political party in Norway. It is the major party of the Norwegian centre-right, and was the leading party in government as part of the Solberg cabinet from 2013 to 2021. Aust-Agder
Aust-Agder (, en, "East Agder") was a county (''fylke'') in Norway until 1 January 2020, when it was merged with Vest-Agder to form Agder county. In 2002, there were 102,945 inhabitants, which was 2.2% of Norway's population. Its area was . The county's administrative center was the town of Arendal. The county, located along the Skagerrak coast, extended from Gjernestangen at Risør to the Kvåsefjorden in Lillesand. The inner parts of the area included Setesdalsheiene and Austheiene. The King's Medal of Merit (Norwegian: ''Kongens fortjenstmedalje'') is a Norwegian award. It was instituted in 1908 to reward meritorious achievements in the fields of art, science, business, and public service. It is divided in two classes: gold and silver.
