Paul Quinn (Missouri Politician)
Paul Quinn (born October 31, 1943) is an American politician from the state of Missouri. A Democrat, he served as a member of the Missouri House of Representatives from the 9th District from 2007 to 2012. The district formerly encompassed all or parts of Audrain, Boone, Chariton, Howard and Monroe counties. However, due to redistricting following the 2010 United States Census, Quinn's district was redrawn, placing him in the 40th District. He was defeated in the 40th District race by Republican Jim Hansen in November, 2012. He was first elected to the Missouri House in 2006. Personal history Paul Quinn was born in Hannibal, Missouri and raised in Monroe County. He engaged in farming for over thirty years before entering politics full-time, and still resides on the family farm near Monroe City. A widower, Paul Quinn and his wife Judy raised nine children. Wes Shoemyer
Wes Shoemyer (born March 30, 1961, in Hannibal, Missouri) is a former Senator for the eighteenth district of the Missouri Senate. The district includes all or portions of thirteen counties in northeast Missouri: Adair, Audain, Clark, Knox, Lewis, Marion, Monroe, Pike, Putnam, Ralls, Schuyler, Scotland, and Shelby. Personal Shoemyer was raised in Shelby County, Missouri and graduated from South Shelby R-IV High School in 1979. He attended the University of Missouri. Chariton County is a county located in the north-central portion of the U.S. state of Missouri. As of the 2020 census, the population was 7,408. Its county seat is Keytesville. The county was organized November 16, 1820, from part of Howard County and is named for the Chariton River. History Chariton County was settled primarily from the states of the Upper South, especially Kentucky and Tennessee. They brought slaves and slaveholding traditions with them, and they quickly started cultivating crops similar to those in Middle Tennessee and Kentucky: hemp and tobacco. KHQA-TV (channel 7) is a television station licensed to Hannibal, Missouri, United States, serving the Quincy, Illinois–Hannibal, Missouri–Keokuk, Iowa market as an affiliate of CBS and ABC. The station is owned by the Sinclair Broadcast Group, and maintains studios on South 36th Street in Quincy; its transmitter is located northeast of the city on Cannonball Road near I-172. Audrain County is a county located in the central part of the U.S. state of Missouri. As of the 2020 census, the population was 24,962. Its county seat is Mexico.
