Paul Masotti
Paul Masotti (born March 10, 1965) is a former professional Canadian football player and current front office executive with the Canadian Football League Toronto Argonauts. Masotti played the wide receiver position for 12 seasons with the Toronto Argonauts, from 1988 to 1999, retiring just before the 2000 season to join the Argos front office first as Executive Vice-President, and then as general manager. College football career Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Masotti played for the Axemen of Acadia University and was named an AUAA All-Star in 1985 and 1987. Professional football career Masotti was the Toronto Argonauts first pick and 15th overall in the 1988 CFL Canadian College Draft. Masotti, however, first signed as a free agent with the Washington Redskins of the National Football League and was one of the Redskins' final cuts. Hamilton is a port city in the Canadian province of Ontario. 2001 CFL Season
The 2001 CFL season is considered to be the 48th season in modern-day Canadian football, although it is officially the 44th Canadian Football League season. Television ratings grew again, especially in the ages 13–34 category, in 2001. TSN saw a ratings growth of 55%, while RDS grew by 116%. The CFL suspended its Week 11 games in respect to the victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks. The CFL officially returned to Ottawa when they were guaranteed an expansion franchise on October 16. The ownership group led by Brad Watters unveiled the new franchise as the Ottawa Renegades, and began play the next season. Hamilton Tiger-Cats
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are a professional Canadian football team based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. They are currently members of the East Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Mike Morreale (born August 10, 1971) is the Commissioner and CEO of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). He is a former award-winning receiver in the Canadian Football League (CFL). Early years A graduate of Cardinal Newman Secondary School, where he earned athlete of the year honours and was football Most Valuable Player, MVP twice, Morreale played his university football with the McMaster University Marauders from 1991 to 1994. He finished his Marauder career with 116 receptions for 1,880 yards and a school-record 16 touchdowns and had 217 yards on 27 punt returns and 185 yards on nine kickoff returns. Douglas Richard Flutie (born October 23, 1962) is an American former football quarterback whose professional career spanned 21 seasons.
