Paul Farthing
Paul Farthing (April 12, 1887 – December 2, 1976) was an American jurist. Born in Odin, Illinois, Farthing was blinded in a hunting accident when he was twelve years old. Farthing went to the Illinois School for the Blind. He then received his bachelor's degree from McKendree University in 1909 and his law degree from University of Illinois Law School. Farthing practiced law in East St. Louis, Illinois. He served as master in chancery of the city court in East St. Louis, Illinois and as St. Clair County, Illinois judge. Belleville, Illinois
Belleville is a city and the county seat of St. Clair County, Illinois, coterminous with the now defunct Belleville Township. It is also the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Belleville and the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows. McKendree University (McK) is a private university in Lebanon, Illinois. Founded in 1828 as the Lebanon Seminary, it is the oldest college or university in Illinois. McKendree enrolls approximately 2,300 undergraduates and nearly 700 graduate students representing 25 countries and 29 states.
