Patti McGee
Patti McGee (born August 23, 1945) is a former professional skateboarder. She was the 1964 Women's first National Skateboard Champion, Santa Monica. Her first skateboard was built by her brother in wood shop from her own shoe skate as a surprise. Her second skateboard was a BunBuster. While on the Cooley Team, and standing on a BunBuster, McGee set the world record for the fastest girl on a skateboard at 47 mph during Dick Clark's World Teen Fair 1964 held at the Orange County (CA) Fair Grounds. McGee was also the first female professional skateboarder. She was paid by Hobie/Vita Pak to travel and demonstrate the Hobie skateboard on a national level. Hobart "Hobie" Alter (October 31, 1933 – March 29, 2014) was an American surf and sailing entrepreneur and pioneer, creator of the Hobie Cat catamarans, and founder of the Hobie company. Biography Hobie Alter will be remembered for creating the process of the foam-and-fiberglass surfboard and his subsequent creation of the Hobie Cat catamaran sailing boat line. His label, Hobie, is one of the top-selling surfboard brands of all time. He is also the creator of the Hobie 33 ultralight-displacement sailboat and a mass-produced radio-controlled glider, the Hobie Hawk. During summer vacation 1950 Alter began by building 9-foot balsawood surfboards for his friends. What's My Line?
''What's My Line?'' is a panel game show that originally ran in the United States on the CBS Television Network from 1950 to 1967, originally in black and white and later in color, with subsequent U.S. revivals. The game uses celebrity panelists to question contestants in order to determine their occupation, i.e. their "line of work". The majority of the contestants were from the general public. ''The Johnny Carson Show'' was a 1955–56 half-hour prime time television variety show starring Johnny Carson. While working as a staff writer on ''The Red Skelton Show'', local Los Angeles television comedian Carson filled in as host when Skelton was injured during a show rehearsal. As a result of Carson’s performance, CBS created the primetime variety program ''The Johnny Carson Show'', a traditional potpourri of comedy, music, dance, skits and monologues.
