Patti Knezevic
Patti Knezevic (born 1973 in Prince George, British Columbia as Patti Thompson) is a Canadian curler from Prince George, British Columbia. Knezevic skipped Team British Columbia at the 1993 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. Her rink of Lori Pratt, Kim Winkel and Tracey Martin finished the round robin in second place with a record of 9-2, but they lost in the semi-final to Quebec's Janique Berthelot. Knezevic finished as runner-up at the British Columbia provincials in 2005, losing to Kelly Scott, in 2007 to Kelley Law, and in 2013 to Scott again. Knezevic's first appearance at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts was in 2014, when she was the alternate for Kesa Van Osch's rink. She skipped the rink for two games when Van Osch had to sit out with an illness. Knezevic returned the following year, after winning the 2015 British Columbia Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Victoria Curling Centre
The Victoria Curling Club was founded as the club signed a lease for land with the City of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada in 1950. However, construction did not commence until 1952 as material shortages from the Korean War had caused delays. Still the Victoria Curling Club opened in February 1953 with eight sheets of ice. The World Curling Tour (WCT) is a group of curling bonspiels featuring the best male, female, and mixed doubles curlers in the world. History The World Curling Tour was founded by former World Champion Ed Lukowich, with later assistance from John Kawaja. The World Curling Tour commenced in 1992, with men's events only at first. It replaced the "Canadian Curling Tour" held the previous season. The first season consisted of 48 events (with only one outside Canada), and was sponsored by Seagram's distillery. 2015 Scotties Tournament Of Hearts
The 2015 Scotties Tournament of Hearts was held from February 14 to 22 at Mosaic Place in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. The winners represented Canada at the 2015 World Women's Curling Championship held from March 14 to 22 at the Tsukisamu Gymnasium in Sapporo, Japan. 2014 Scotties Tournament Of Hearts
The 2014 Scotties Tournament of Hearts was held from February 1 to 9 at the Maurice Richard Arena in Montreal, Quebec. The defending champion Rachel Homan rink won their second straight title, with Homan becoming the youngest skip to ever win back-to-back championships. The team went undefeated throughout the tournament, with the team never even being forced to throw their final rock in any of their games. Teams Returning as defending champions were the Rachel Homan rink from Ottawa, representing Team Canada as a result of winning the 2013 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. None of the other qualified teams had won the Scotties.
