Patsy De Forest
Patsy De Forest (born Helen May Lanagan; May 1, 1894 – August 1, 1966) was an American actress of the silent cinema era who performed on the stage since childhood before acting in films. Career De Forest acted in over eighty films from 1912 to 1920, with over thirty appearances each in 1915 and in 1916. She worked with several production companies including Lubin Manufacturing Company, Vitagraph Studios and Fox Film Corporation. She acted in several comedies directed by Lawrence Semon of Vitagraph in the mid-1910s. She also acted in some Broadway musicals. De Forest's last film appearance was in Sunset Sprague, a 1920 Western in which she was the female lead. She died in August 1966 at the age of 72. Edwin McKim
Samuel Edwin McKim (October 31, 1868 – March 31, 1942) was an actor and director of American silent films. He had directed films for Lubin Manufacturing Company, among other companies. McKim was the father of actress Ann Dvorak, born during his marriage to silent film actress Anna Lehr. After Lehr and McKim divorced around 1921, Dvorak did not see McKim for 14 years, finally locating him after she began a public search. McKim confirmed paternity by sending footage of her as a child taken in Cuba when she was on location with her parents for a film. A man of modest means who insisted on paying for his own train ticket, Ann was not reunited with her father until August 1934. Ashley Miller (August 11, 1877 – November 19, 1949) was an American director, screenwriter, playwright, and actor. He directed 133 films between 1909 and 1923. Miller was born in Cincinnati and attended schools in Detroit, Michigan. Miller's stage debut came in September 1904 when he portrayed Francois in a production of ''Richelieu''. He went on to act with stock theater companies in Boston, Chicago, New York, and Philadelphia. Plays in which he performed include ''Prince Otto'', ''Romeo and Juliet'', ''A Midsummer Night's Dream'', ''My Lady Peggy Goes to Town'', and '' The Parisian Model''.
