Patrick Neufeld
Patrick Neufeld (born December 26, 1988) is a professional Canadian football offensive lineman for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He is a two-time Grey Cup champion having won the 107th Grey Cup and 108th Grey Cups as a member of the Blue Bombers. He played college football for the Saskatchewan Huskies football team from 2008 to 2011. He played high school football at Luther College in Regina, Saskatchewan. Professional career Saskatchewan Roughriders Neufeld was drafted 33rd overall by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the 2010 CFL Draft but returned to school following the 2010 training camp. He appeared in 17 regular season games in both 2011 and 2012 for the Roughriders, but only dressed for three games in 2013 in an injury-plagued season. Grey Cup
The Grey Cup (french: Coupe Grey) is both the championship game of the Canadian Football League (CFL) and the trophy awarded to the victorious team playing in the namesake championship of professional Canadian football. The game is contested between the winners of the CFL's East and West Divisional playoffs and is one of Canadian television's largest annual sporting events. The Toronto Argonauts have the most Grey Cup wins (18) since its introduction in 1909, while the Edmonton Elks (formerly the Edmonton Eskimos) have the most Grey Cup wins (11) since the merger in 1958. 2015 CFL Draft
The 2015 CFL Draft took place on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at 8:00 PM ET on TSN2 and RDS2. 62 players were chosen from among eligible players from Canadian Universities across the country, as well as Canadian players playing in the NCAA. For the first time since the 2006 CFL Draft, an NCAA player was drafted first overall, with Alex Mateas from the University of Connecticut being selected with the top pick. Six offensive linemen were drafted in the first round, which broke the previous record of five in the 1987 CFL Draft. CKND-DT (channel 9) is a television station in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, part of the Global Television Network. The station is owned and operated by network parent Corus Entertainment, with studios on the 30th floor of 201 Portage in downtown Winnipeg, and transmitter atop the building. Hamilton Tiger-Cats
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are a professional Canadian football team based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. They are currently members of the East Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL). The Tiger-Cats play their home games at Tim Hortons Field. In 1950, the Tigers merged with cross-town upstart Hamilton Wildcats and adopted the name "Tiger-Cats". 2019 Winnipeg Blue Bombers Season
The 2019 Winnipeg Blue Bombers season was the 62nd season for the team in the Canadian Football League (CFL) and their 87th season overall. This was the sixth season under head coach Mike O'Shea and the sixth full season under general manager Kyle Walters. The Blue Bombers qualified for the playoffs for the fourth consecutive season on September 21, 2019 following an Ottawa Redblacks loss. The club later would go on to win their 11th Grey Cup championship and their first since the 1990 Grey Cup championship game, ending what was the longest active Grey Cup drought. 2014 CFL Draft
The 2014 CFL Draft took place on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 7:00 PM ET on TSN. 65 players were chosen from among eligible players from Canadian Universities across the country, as well as Canadian players playing in the NCAA. A total of 19 trades were made involving draft picks from this year, including six made on draft day itself, with five involving picks from the first round. The Ottawa Redblacks were scheduled to pick first in each round of the 2013 CFL Draft, and were supposed to have two bonus picks at the end of the draft. Due to stadium delays, Ottawa will join the Canadian Football League in 2014, and those stipulations will be applied to this year's draft instead.
