Pat Costello
Bernard Patrick "Pat" Costello Jr. (March 12, 1929 – July 12, 2014) was an American rower who competed in the 1952 Summer Olympics and in the 1956 Summer Olympics. He was born in Detroit, Michigan. In 1952 he and his partner Walter Hoover were eliminated in the semi-final repechage of the double sculls event. Four years later at the 1956 Summer Olympics, Melbourne, Australia Costello won the silver medal with his partner Jim Gardiner in the double sculls competition. Patrick Costello (Australian Politician)
Patrick Costello (18 March 1824 – 17 October 1896) was an Australian businessman and politician active in the Colony of Victoria. Costello was born in County Leitrim, Ireland. He arrived in Melbourne when he was 17, through an assisted migration scheme. Costello made his fortune as a builder and contractor during the gold rush, and built a large home in Carlton. He was elected to the Melbourne City Council in 1855. Costello ran for the Victorian Legislative Assembly in 1859 and 1861, standing in the seat of North Melbourne and running on a liberal platform which included support for secular education and opposition to the Masters and Servants Acts. He was successful on his second attempt. Costello was sworn into the Legislative Assembly on 31 August 1861, but was expelled two months later on 1 November after being convicted of electoral fraud. Dillinger Four, sometimes abbreviated as D4, is an American punk rock band formed in 1994 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They have released four full-length studio albums. Patrick Costello (born 21 May 1980) is an Irish Green Party politician who has been a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin South-Central constituency since the 2020 general election. Early life Costello attended Gonzaga College before studying at University College Dublin, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2002. He did a course in Drugs Counselling Theory and Intervention Skills. He later completed a Master of Social Work at Trinity College Dublin. After graduating, Costello worked in a variety of front line roles in homeless agencies and services for adults and children. He worked in Merchants Quay Ireland, Focus Ireland and for the HSE. Thomas Denny (artist)
Thomas Denny (born 1956) is a contemporary British painter and stained glass artist. Denny was born in London, son of Sir Anthony Denny, 8th Baronet of Tralee Castle, and Catherine . He was educated at King Alfred's School, Hampstead, and trained at the Edinburgh College of Art and now lives and works in Dorset. He has exhibited extensively and has had numerous commissions both as a painter and a skilled practitioner of stained glass. His windows are noted for the distinctive way in which light and colour move across the surface. He achieves this effect by acid etching and silver staining each small piece of glass. He has been responsible for some 60 stained glass commissions for churches and cathedrals, including the Traherne windows at Hereford Cathedral (2007), the Transfiguration window at Durham Cathedral (2010), and the Wisdom window at St Catharine's College, Cambridge (2012). Desmond Patrick Costello (31 January 1912 – 23 February 1964) was a New Zealand-born linguist, soldier, diplomat and university lecturer and professor who has been accused of being a KGB agent.
