Patricia Noall
Patricia Noall (born June 2, 1970) is a former competition swimmer who represented Canada in international swimming championships during the 1980s and early 1990s, competing in freestyle events. She won 14 medals in international competition, including the Olympics, Pan Pacific Championships, Commonwealth Games, and World University Games. Noall swam in the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. There she earned bronze medal by swimming for the third-place Canadian team in the preliminary heats of the women's 4x100-metre medley relay, although she just swam. The Canadian team for the final was formed by Lori Melien, Allison Higson, Jane Kerr and Andrea Nugent Andrea Nugent (born November 1, 1968) is an RMT and Canadian former competition swimmer who specialized in butterfly and freestyle events. Freestyle Swimming
Freestyle is a category of swimming competition, defined by the rules of the International Swimming Federation (FINA), in which competitors are subject to a few limited restrictions on their swimming stroke. Freestyle races are the most common of all swimming competitions, with distances beginning with 50 meters (50 yards) and reaching 1500 meters (1650 yards), also known as the mile. The term 'freestyle stroke' is sometimes used as a synonym for 'front crawl', as front crawl is the fastest surface swimming stroke. It is now the most common stroke used in freestyle competitions.
