Patricia Mackinnon
Dame Una Patricia Mackinnon, Order of the British Empire, DBE (née Bell; 24 July 1911 – 17 May 2009 rch.org.au; accessed 1 April 2016.) was Vice-President and President of the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne and a national councillor for the Australian Hospitals Association. Personal life Una Patricia Bell was born in Brisbane, Queensland as the daughter of Ernest Thomas and Pauline Eva (née Taylor) Bell. She was educated at St Margaret's Anglican Girls' School. Order Of The British Empire
The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire is a British order of chivalry, rewarding contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organisations, and public service outside the civil service. It was established on 4 June 1917 by King George V and comprises five classes across both civil and military divisions, the most senior two of which make the recipient either a knight if male or dame if female. Royal Children's Hospital
The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) is a major children's hospital in Melbourne, Australia. As a major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria, the Royal Children's Hospital provides a full range of clinical services, tertiary care, as well as health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people. The hospital is the designated statewide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation. Dame Elisabeth Joy Murdoch, Lady Murdoch (née Greene; 8 February 1909 – 5 December 2012), also known as Elisabeth, Lady Murdoch, was an Australian philanthropist and matriarch of the Murdoch family. She was the widow of Australian newspaper publisher Sir Keith Murdoch and the mother of international media proprietor Rupert Murdoch.
