is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Mineo Maya. The comedy manga was serialized in ''Hana to Yume'' from 1978 to 1990, before switching to ''Bessatsu Hana to Yume'' from 1991 where it continues to be published. An anime adaptation, , produced by Toei Animation, originally aired from April 8, 1982 to May 13, 1983 on Fuji TV, and was the first to present '' shōnen-ai'' themes on television. As of 2006, the manga had 22 million copies in circulation. Two spin-off mangas, ''Patalliro Saiyuki!'' and ''Patalliro Genji Monogatari!'', were originally serialized from 2003 to 2005 and 2004 to 2008 respectively, with ''Patalliro Saiyuki!'' getting an anime adaptation produced by Magic Bus and airing on Kids Station from June 5 to November 9, 2005. Maya Mineo (Japanese: 魔夜峰央 ''Mineo Maya'', born 4 March 1953) is a Japanese mangaka. His series ''Patalliro!'' is one of the best-selling and the longest-running shōjo manga of all time. Life Maya was born in Niigata. He made his debut as a professional manga artist in 1973 with ''Mishiranu hōmon-sha'' in the shōjo magazine ''Bessatsu Margaret''. His most successful series started in 1978 with ''Patalliro!'', which was adapted into an anime series. Since then, he has worked on the series for different magazines and produced several spin-offs. With more than 100 volumes, it is the longest-running shōjo manga. An anime adaptation in 1983 was the first TV anime to show homosexuality. Toshiko Fujita
was a Japanese actress, voice actress, singer and narrator. She was affiliated with Aoni Production at the time of her death. Biography Since the age of 8 in 1958, Fujita worked in radio and television as an actress, singer and comedian. In addition, she also sang theme songs for anime such as the 1969 adaptation of ''Dororo''. She also dubbed several English-language films in Japanese, as well as lending her voice to anime, such as '' Ikkyū-san'' (Ikkyu), ''Kiteretsu Daihyakka'' (Kiteretsu ), ''Digimon Adventure'' ( Taichi Yagami), ''Fist of the North Star'' (Mamiya) and '' Cat's Eye'' (Rui Kisugi). Kazuyuki Sogabe ( (formerly ) ''Sogabe Kazuyuki'', April 16, 1948 – September 17, 2006) was a Japanese actor, voice actor, musician and narrator. During his life, he has been attached to Theatre Echo; he was attached to Aoni Production at the time of his death. He also served as guitarist of the band Slapstick, which he formed in 1977 with fellow voice actors Tōru Furuya and Toshio Furukawa. In December 2000, Sogabe retired from voice acting when he felt a weakness in his own voice. After his retirement, his ongoing roles were replaced by other voice actors. He died on September 17, 2006, from esophageal cancer, with which he had been diagnosed two months before. He was 58 years old.
