Pataliputra Housing Colony
Patliputra colony (officially Pataliputra Housing colony) is a housing cooperative society in Patna, the capital city of Bihar. The Society was formed in 1954 and was meant to be a housing society for Government Officials only, consisting of both residential and business settlements. It is surrounded by the Kurji- Rajapur road on one side and the Bailey Road and Gosain Tola on the other and by New Patliputra colony and Rajeev Nagar on one side. The area is served by Patliputra colony police station under Patna Police. Patliputra Colony is managed by a housing cooperative society, known as Patliputra Cooperative Society and is not a part of Patna Municipal Corporation. Indian Institute of Technology Patna (abbreviated IIT Patna or IITP) is a public technical university located at Bihta near Patna, Bihar. It is recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. It is one of the new IITs established by an Act of the Indian Parliament on August 6, 2008. Patna–Mughalsarai Section
The Patna–Mughalsarai section is a railway line connecting in the Indian state of Bihar and in Uttar Pradesh. History The first rail track between Howrah and Delhi was via what was later named as Sahibganj loop and the first through train on the route was run in 1864. The Patna–Mughalsarai sector was ready around 1862. A "shorter main line" connecting Raniganj and Kiul was in position in 1871 and the opening of the Grand Chord in 1907 shortened the distance from Howrah to Delhi even further. Sadaqat Ashram
Sadaqat Ashram is located in Patna, Bihar, beside the main road of Digha area, on the banks of the River Ganges, almost seven kilometres from the airport. This was one of the residences of Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India, who lived there after retirement and spent the last days of his life there. It was established by Maulana Mazharul Haque in 1921. Spread over 20 acres, ashram's land was donated by his close associate Maulana Mazharul Haque's friend Khairun miyan to the national movement.
