Pataliputra Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 543 parliamentary constituencies in India. The constituency is located in Patna district in Bihar. Until 2008, there was only one Lok Sabha seat for Patna, capital of Bihar. In the reorganization effected that year, the city was awarded two seats, named Pataliputra (after the city's ancient name) and Patna Sahib. Ram Kripal Yadav
Ram Kripal Yadav (born 12 October 1957) is an Indian politician and a member of the 17th Lok Sabha from the Pataliputra parliamentary constituency in Bihar. He was a member of Rashtriya Janata Dal and was a close confidant of Lalu Yadav. Later he joined Bharatiya Janata Party. He was first a mayor in Bihar, and later the Minister of State for Rural Development in central cabinet in Delhi from 2014 to 2019. Early life Yadav was born on 12 October 1957. He attained the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and Bachelor of Law degrees from Magadh University, Patna. Ritlal Yadav
Ritlal Yadav or Ritlal Ray is a leader of RJD who won the Bihar Legislative Council election in July 2015 as an independent candidate. Ritlal was in jail in connection with multiple criminal cases, including murder charges. Ritlal is accused in over 33 cases. He was a former MLC of Patna, the post to which he was elected in 2016. He was incarcerated in Beur Jail until August 2020. However he was then released from the jail on bail.
