Pastoreo Fútbol Club, also known as Pastoreo FC or simply Pastoreo, is a Paraguayan association football, football club based in Doctor Juan Manuel Frutos, locally known as ''Pastoreo''. The club was founded in 2020 and plays in the Paraguayan División Intermedia, División Intermedia, the second division in the Paraguayan football league system. It belongs to the Football Federation of the 5th Department Caaguazú, Caaguazú Football Federation and was the 2019–20 Campeonato Nacional de Interligas champion. The División Intermedia ( en, Intermediate Division), also known as the Segunda División ( en, Second Division), is the second tier professional football league in Paraguay. It is organized by the Asociación Paraguaya de Fútbol. Overview Since 1910 the second division tournaments have changed rules, number of teams and names. As of 2006, División Intermedia is the name for the second division and 16 teams are part of it. The champion and the runner-up of this league gains the right to participate in the Liga Paraguaya: Primera División, the Paraguay's top division of football. 2023 Paraguayan División Intermedia
The 2023 División Intermedia season, named ''"Homenaje a Don Alejandro Dos Santos"'', was the 105th season of the second-tier league of Paraguayan football and 26th under the División Intermedia name. The season began on 31 March and ended on 9 October 2023, and the fixtures for the season were announced on 14 December 2022. Sol de América won their fourth title in the competition, securing the championship with two rounds to go after a 2–1 victory over Martín Ledesma on 25 September. The other promoted team was 2 de Mayo, who clinched their promotion two rounds prior to the end of the season with a 1–1 draw with 3 de Febrero on 23 September. The Football Federation of the 5th Department Caaguazú (''Federación de Fútbol Quinto Departamento Caaguazú'') is the departamental governing body of football (soccer) in the department of Caaguazú, in Paraguay.
