Passion Air
Pisces Aviation (dba as PassionAir) is a domestic airline of Ghana with its head office in Accra, Ghana, and its main hub at Kotoka International Airport in Accra. It is the second largest airline in Ghana, having transported 213,022 passengers in 2019, and holds a 35% share of the domestic market as of 2022. History Passion Air was founded as DAC International Airlines (Ghana) by notable local businessman Edward Annan, in partnership with DAC Aviation of Kenya. The company was founded in 2017 and achieved its Air Operator Certificate in December that year. Flight operations commenced under the PassionAir brand in August 2018 using a single Bombardier Dash 8 Q400. On 20 February 2021, Passion Air operated its first flight with an all female crew from Accra to Tamale. The airline is also notable for hiring Ghana's youngest female pilot, Audrey Esi Swatson. Kotoka International Airport
Kotoka International Airport is an international airport in Accra, the capital of Ghana. The airport is operated by Ghana Airports Company Limited, Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), which has its offices on the airport property. It is the sole international airport in Ghana. In 2019, the airport served a record 3 million passengers, although this reduced to 2.1 million in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It presently serves as a hub for domestic and regional operator Africa World Airlines, and a base for domestic operator Passion Air. The airport consists of two passenger terminals, Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. Terminal 2 serves only domestic flights, while Terminal 3 serves regional, international and long-haul operators. Wa Airport is an airport serving Wa, a city in the Upper West Region of Ghana which is also its capital. The airport is operated by Ghana Airports Company Limited. It is the fifth busiest commercial airport in Ghana with 4,696 passengers passing through in 2021. History The land was acquired by the Government in the year 1958.
