Conca De Barberà
Conca de Barberà () is a comarca (county) in the province of Tarragona, Catalonia, Spain. Its total area is . At its creation in 1936, it contained 23 municipalities, but in 1990, several of these were amalgamated; Rojals was combined with Montblanc, and Montbrió de la Marca was amalgamated with Sarral. Also in 1990, Vallfogona de Riucorb was moved from the Segarra comarca. This resulted in the current total of 22 municipalities. Geography The comarca of Conca de Barberà is divided into three geographical zones. The lowland sector consists of the physical Conca de Barberà region: the valleys of the Rivers Francolí and Anguera (''Conca'' means a river valley, and Barberà is one of the principal villages in the valley). El Fonoll
El Fonoll ("the fennel" in Catalan) is a naturist village in Catalonia, Spain, situated in the inland comarca of Conca de Barberà. The village is ancient, and had fallen into ruins before being restored and turned into a naturist resort around the year 2000. History El Fonoll has been mentioned in writings going back as far as 1305. The village originally contained a castle, of which no trace remains, and a small church dedicated to St. Blaise, built between the 10th and 12th centuries, which contains some unique architectural features and has remained in good condition. The village fell into disuse, and its buildings into ruins, during the 20th century, and the entire area, including over 150 hectares of surrounding land, was eventually bought by Barcelona businessman Emili Vives in 1995, with the intention of restoring it and turning it into a naturist centre. Solivella
Solivella is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of the Conca de Barberà in Catalonia, Spain. Vallbona de les Monges () is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of the Urgell in Catalonia, Spain. Ciutadilla
Ciutadilla is a village and municipality in the comarca of Urgell in Catalonia, Spain. Its population in 2013 was 209. The village, the only settlement in the municipality, is situated on a hill close to where the Montblanc-to-Tàrrega highway crosses the Corb river. Its ruined castle occupies a commanding position overlooking not just the village but also the plains of Urgell and Segarra. Many of the buildings in the village serve as holiday homes. Economy The municipality's economy depends largely on agriculture, mainly non-irrigated barley and other grains, vines, olives, and almonds, as well as pig- and poultry-farming. Guimerà (Spanish: ''Guimerá'') is a municipality and village in the comarca of Urgell in the province of Lleida in Catalonia, Spain. The village, the only settlement in the municipality, is situated on the banks of the Corb river. The main part of the village is built up a hillside on the north bank of the river. The population in 2011 was 320. History Guimerà's development originated in the push by Christian forces from the north to recover the Iberian peninsula from Islam. Vallfogona de Riucorb () is a municipality and village in the ''comarca'' of the Conca de Barberà in central Catalonia, Spain. It is situated in the Comalats range in the north of the ''comarca'', with the Cap de Cans rising to 759 m. Vallfogona village is built on the south bank of the Corb river. It is known for the medicinal mineral water that flows from a local spring, and for the priest and Baroque poet Francesc Vicent Garcia (1579-1623), "El Rector de Vallfogona."
