Pasay Road Station
Pasay Road station is a railway station located on the South Main Line in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines. It is one of two stations (the other is Santa Mesa) in the line to have its own access road. It is named after Pasay Road, the old name of the Makati section of the adjacent Arnaiz Avenue. The station is the tenth station from Tutuban and is one of three stations serving Makati, the other two being Dela Rosa and EDSA. It is the only station in Makati, and the only station between España and Alabang, which serves intercity trains, being a stopping point for the ''Bicol Express'' and ''Mayon Limited''. In addition to having its own dedicated access road, Pasay Road station is also one of three stations (the others being Santa Mesa and España) to have its original platforms extended and raised in order to accommodate new PNR diesel multiple units. PNR South Main Line
The PNR South Main Line ( fil, Pangunahing Linyang Patimog ng PNR, also known as Southrail and formerly the Main Line South) is one of the two trunk lines that form the Philippine National Railways' network in the island of Luzon, Philippines. It was opened in stages between 1916 and 1938 by the Manila Railroad. Services peaked in the 1940s until the late 1960s, when the system started to decline. Since 1988, it was the only functioning inter-city rail after its counterpart to the north, the North Main Line, was closed. The intercity section of the line in Laguna, Quezon and the Bicol Region was then closed and reopened repeatedly between 2004 and 2014 due to a combination of declining ridership and was closed since then. Don Bosco Technical Institute of Makati, or simply "Don Bosco Makati." is a private Catholic educational institution owned and operated by the Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB). Its campus is located at Chino Roces Avenue Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines. In January 1954, the cornerstone of Don Bosco Makati was laid down, during the term of then, Servant of God Fr. Chino Roces Avenue
Chino Roces Avenue, formerly known as (and still commonly referred to as) Pasong Tamo, is a prominent north–south road in the cities of Makati and Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines It runs for from Olympia and Tejeros to Fort Bonifacio. The avenue is named after Joaquin "Chino" Roces, journalist, founder of The Manila Times and Associated Broadcasting Company (now TV5), and an opposition figure during the Marcos administration. Jeepneys
Jeepneys (), sometimes called jeeps (), are minibus-like public utility vehicles, serving as the most popular means of public transportation in the Philippines. They are known for their crowded seating and kitsch decorations, which have become a widespread symbol of Philippine culture and art. A Sarao jeepney was exhibited at the Philippine pavilion at the 1964 New York World's Fair as a national image for the Filipinos. Jeepneys originate from the American colonial period share taxis known as auto calesas, commonly shortened to "AC". These evolved to modified imported cars with attached carriages in the 1930s which served as cheap passenger utility vehicles in Manila. These vehicles were mostly destroyed in World War II. The Philamlife Tower is an office skyscraper located in Makati, Philippines. It is owned and developed by Philam Properties Corporation, the real estate arm of the Philippine American Life and General Insurance Company (Philamlife, now AIA Philippines). Standing at 200 metres (656 feet), it is currently the 7th-tallest building in Makati, and is the 14th-tallest building in the country and Metro Manila as well. Tower One & Exchange Plaza is one of the tallest skyscrapers in the Philippines. It is located in the Makati Central Business District and has a height of . The building has 35 floors above ground level, and is originally planned to be the first of three towers for the Ayala Triangle. The Shang Grand Tower, also known as simply the Shang Tower, is a high-end residential condominium skyscraper located in Makati, Philippines. It was developed by Shang Properties, Inc. The Ayala Museum is a museum in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines. The Makati Central Business District (Makati CBD), is a financial and central business district in the Philippines located in the heart of Makati in Metro Manila. It is politically known as "Central Cluster" in the West District of Makati. It is different from the Makati civic center known as "Makati Poblacion" which is situated at the northeast portion of the district.
