Partouche Poker Tour
The Partouche Poker Tour (PPT) was a series of poker tournaments held at casinos owned and operated by the Partouche group in France. The tour operated on a three-tiered structure, with two levels of satellites eventually feeding into the Main Event held at the Palm Beach casino in Cannes. Satellites with a €125 buy-in were held every Tuesday and Thursday from November to July, with winners earning a place in the next round of Super Satellites. Players could also have entered a Super Satellite directly for a €1,075 buy-in. Each of the six Super Satellites, held at a different Partouche casino, was limited to 500 entrants, with the top 50 finishers at each event earning entry to the Main Event. The Main Event consisted of the 300 Super Satellite ticket winners, plus other players who pay the €8,500 buy-in. Poker Tournament
A poker tournament is a tournament where players compete by playing poker. It can feature as few as two players playing on a single table (called a "heads up poker, heads-up" tournament), and as many as tens of thousands of players playing on thousands of tables. The winner of the tournament is usually the person who wins every poker chip in the game and the others are awarded places based on the time of their elimination. To facilitate this, in most tournaments, blind (poker), blinds rise over the duration of the tournament. Unlike in a Cash game, ring game (or cash game), a player's chips in a tournament cannot be cashed out for money and serve only to determine the player's placing. Sam Trickett
Sam Trickett (born 2 July 1986 in East Retford, Nottinghamshire, England) is an English professional poker player. He is best known for finishing second, losing heads-up to Antonio Esfandiari in the Big One for One Drop - winning over $10 million in prize money. He is currently the twelfth-highest earner in tournament play of all time. Career Trickett started playing poker in 2005 after suffering a knee injury that ended his career as a professional footballer. He soon became a regular in poker events in Sheffield. Mustapha Kanit (born 24 January 1991) is an Italian professional poker player. Biography Kanit was born in Alessandria, Italy and currently resides in London, United Kingdom. He began playing poker as a teenager participating in live tournaments at private clubs. He worked at these clubs as a bartender and dealer. Michael Binger
Michael W. Binger (born December 20, 1976 in Delray Beach, Florida) is a part-time professional poker player, based in Atherton, California. He has a brother, Nick Binger, who also has several high-profile tournament cashes. Binger graduated from North Carolina State University before receiving a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from Stanford University in 2006. Just two months after receiving his PhD, he outlasted 8,770 players in the 2006 World Series of Poker (WSOP) $10,000 No limit Texas Hold'em Main Event, finishing third and earning $4,123,310.
