Communist Party of Andalusia (in Spanish: ''Partido Comunista de Andalucía'') is the federation of the Communist Party of Spain (PCE) in Andalusia. History PCA was founded in 1979, as the Andalusian branch of PCE was converted into a regional party. The party supported autonomy for Andalusia, and called for a 'yes'-vote in the 1980 referendum on autonomy. During this phase it worked in cooperation with the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party at the municipal level. Congress Of Deputies (Spain)
The Congress of Deputies ( es, link=no, Congreso de los Diputados, italic=unset) is the lower house of the Cortes Generales, Spain's legislative branch. The Congress meets in the Palace of the Parliament () in Madrid. It has 350 members elected by constituencies (matching fifty Spanish provinces and two autonomous cities) by closed list proportional representation using the D'Hondt method. Deputies serve four-year terms. The presiding officer is the President of the Congress of Deputies, who is elected by the members thereof. It is the analogue to a speaker. In the Congress, MPs from the political parties, or groups of parties, form parliamentary groups. Groups must be formed by at least 15 deputies, but a group can also be formed with only five deputies if the parties got at least 5% of the nationwide vote, or 15% of the votes in the constituencies in which they ran. Felipe Alcaraz
Luis Felipe Alcaraz Masats (born 1 March 1943 in Granada) is a Spanish politician. He is the current Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Spain. Alcaraz obtained a doctorate in philology and began as a university professor. He began his opposition to Francoism in the 1950s. In 1973 he joined the Communist Party of Spain and in 1979 joined the Central Committee and was chosen as deputy for Jaén. In 1981 he was chosen Secretary General of the Partido Comunista de Andalucía, a position that he maintained until 2002. He was chosen deputy of the Parliament of Andalusia by Seville Province in 1982, 1986 and 1990, being several times parliamentary spokesman of the PCE and IU. Albolote
Albolote is a city located in the province of Province of Granada, Granada, Spain. It is one of the thirty-four entities which together form Granada's Metropolitan Area. It is formed by several populations: El Aire, El Chaparral, and Cubillas Reservoir, Parque del Cubillas y Pretel. There are also several residential areas throughout the legal borders of the municipality. Inside those limits you can also find Granada's Penitential Center (Centro Penitencial de Granada, in Spanish). According to Spain's Instituto Nacional de Estadística, the city had a total population of 15,563 in 2005. José Luis Centella
José Luis Centella Gómez (born 1958) is a Communist Party of Spain (PCE) politician. He served in the Congress of Deputies from 1995 to 2004 and 2011 to 2015. He was his party's secretary general from 2009 to 2018, subsequently becoming its president. Biography Born in Córdoba, Centella became a teacher and was elected to the town council in Benalmádena in 1987. Matalascañas
Matalascañas (; local dialect: atalaʰ'kaɲa is the name of a beach and resort within the Municipality of Almonte, Province of Huelva, in southern Spain. It is known for having an ancient upside down tower on the sand called Torre la Higuera, one of the seven defense towers built by Phillip II in the 16th century to protect the coast from incursions by Turkish and North African corsairs. This locale was still called by the tower's name until the 1970s. The Matalascañas coast line is surrounded by Doñana National Park (also called the Coto de Doñana), and was segregated from it in 1961 to allow the development of a beach-side tourist village. Central committee is the common designation of a standing administrative body of Communist party, communist parties, analogous to a board of directors, of both ruling and nonruling parties of former and existing socialist states. United Left ( es, Izquierda Unida , IU) is a federative political movement in Spain that was first organized as a coalition in 1986, bringing together several left-wing political organizations, most notably the Communist Party of Spain. Julio Anguita González (21 November 194116 May 2020) was a Spanish politician and historian. He was Mayor of Córdoba, Spain, Córdoba from 1979 to 1986, coordinator of United Left (Spain), United Left (IU) between 1989 and 1999, and Secretary-General of the Communist Party of Spain (PCE) from 1988 to 1998.
