Partibrejkers
Partibrejkers (Serbian Cyrillic: Партибрејкерс, transliteration for: ''Partybreakers'') is a Serbian rock band from Belgrade, as well as one of the most acclaimed acts of the Yugoslav rock scene. The band was formed in 1982 and released its first album, ''Partibrejkers I'' in 1985 in a two guitars, drums and vocal set (no bass guitar). The band has experienced numerous line-up changes. The mainstay of the band are Zoran Kostić "Cane" (vocals) and Nebojša Antonijević "Anton" (guitar). The band has received steady critical acclaim over the years and is well received by audiences all over former Yugoslavia, not only because of their music, but also because of their anti-war activism with the Rimtutituki project. Zoran Kostić (musician)
Zoran Kostić (Serbian Cyrillic: Зоран Костић; born 17 August 1964 in Belgrade) widely known by his nickname Cane () is Serbian rock musician, known primarily as the leader and vocalist for Serbian punk rock group Partibrejkers. Early years Kostić was born in 1964 to parents Slobodan and Mirjana. He is descended of Gavrilo Princip (Gavrilo's mother and his great grandfather were biological siblings). Growing up near the Ušće area of New Belgrade, he founded his first band in 1979, at the age of 15 - a group called Kopilad (''Bastards''). In 1980, he played with Urbana Gerila for a short time, before joining Radnička kontrola in 1981, where he played alongside some also soon-to-become-notable musicians: drummer Srđan "Žika" Todorović, lead guitarist Darko Milojković and bassist Srđan "Đile" Marković. Rimtutituki ( sr-cyr, Римтутитуки; anagram for ''Turim ti kitu'', trans. ''I put my dick in you'') was a Serbian rock supergroup featuring Ekatarina Velika, Električni Orgazam and Partibrejkers members. The band was formed as an anti-war project during the Yugoslav Wars and 1991–1992 anti-war protests in Belgrade. Disciplin A Kitschme, originally known as Disciplina Kičme ( sr-Cyrl, Дисциплина Кичме, transl. ''Backbone Discipline''), was a Serbian and Yugoslav and, for a period of time, British rock band, formed in Belgrade in 1981. The band was noted for their unique and energetic sound, with bass guitar as the primary instrument and drawing inspiration from punk rock, funk, blues, jazz fusion, Motown, rap, the works of Jimi Hendrix, Yugoslav 1970s progressive and hard rock bands, and in the later phases of their career from jungle and drum and bass. Disciplina Kičme was formed by bass guitarist and vocalist Dušan Kojić "Koja" as one of the two spin-offs of the seminal Yugoslav new wave band Šarlo Akrobata, the other being Ekatarina Velika. Banana ( sr-cyr, Банана) was a Yugoslav pop rock band formed in Belgrade in 1985. They were a prominent act of the Yugoslav rock scene in the late 1980s. Radnička Kontrola ( sr-cyr, Радничка Контрола, trans. ''Workers' Control'') was a former Yugoslav punk rock/ new wave band from Belgrade, active in the late 1970s and early 1980s and notable for its appearance on the compilation album '' Artistička radna akcija''. Toni Montano (Serbian Cyrillic: Тони Монтано), real name Velibor Miljković (Serbian Cyrillic: Велибор Миљковић) is a Serbian rock musician. Biography Radost Evrope Miljković started his career as a vocalist of the band punk rock Radost Evrope (trans. '' Joy of Europe''), formed in 1979. The band lineup consisted of a large number of members, including Dime "Mune" Todorovski, later the member of Partibrejkers and Slobodan "Loka" Nešović, later the member of Urbana Gerila/ Berliner Strasse and Defektno Efektni. They had rehearsals and performed at the Belgrade SKC, mainly cover versions of the Ramones songs, but also had their own material. Oružjem Protivu Otmičara (Serbian Cyrillic: Оружјем Противу Отмичара, trans. ''With Weapons Against Kidnappers'') is a Serbian pop punk/power pop band from Zrenjanin. History 1990s The band was formed by two teenage friends, bass guitarist Nikola Pavković and drummer Vladimir Jovanović, and named after a children's book. The band did not record any material and after the two joined Instant Karma, the band ceased to exist. In 1992, having left Instant Karma, Pavković reformed the band, soon switching to guitar, with bass guitarist Draga Antov. The rest of the lineup varied until Dragana Mrkajić (guitar, vocals) and Darko Kurjak (drums) became permanent members.
