Parrillas One
Parrillas One (pronounced pah-RI-yas OH-neh) is a Honduran football team based in San Pedro Sula, Cortés. For the 2012–13 season they played at Estadio Alfredo León Gómez in Tela. They were first promoted to Liga Nacional de Futbol de Honduras in the 2013 where they confirmed they will remain in Tela. The sponsor is Parrillas y Repuestos One, an automobile body shop. History The team is named for the sponsor, Parrillas y Repuestos One, an automobile body shop. ''Parrillas'' means " argrilles" in Spanish and ''One'' (pronounced "Oh-neh") is the company owner and club chairman's childhood nickname. The club was founded in 1993 as a leisure team for workers of the car paint shop, Parrillas One who played amateur pick-up games on Saturdays. The club later joined ''Liga Comercial Emin Abufelle'', an amateur league for company football teams. Wilmer Cruz
Wilmer Enrique Cruz Paredes (born 18 December 1965) is a retired Honduran football player. He is currently the manager of Victoria. Club career Nicknamed ''Pájaro'' (Bird) and ''Supermán'', Cruz played 129 league matches for Real C.D. España and also had spells with Platense F.C., F.C. Motagua and Deportes Savio as well as short stints with C.D.S. Vida, Independiente Villela and C.D. Victoria. He played his final league game in January 2001 for Savio against Olimpia. In September 1999, he was said to be interested to play in Costa Rica but would have to withdraw his candidacy to become mayor of his hometown, Santa Cruz de Yojoa. Liga de Ascenso (Promotion League) is the second division of Honduran football; it was founded on 17 December 1979 as ''Segunda División'' (Second Division) and renamed ''Liga de Ascenso'' (Promotion League) on 21 July 2002.
