Parr (artist)
Parr (1893 - 3 November 1969) was an Inuit artist. He lived a traditional Inuit lifestyle until 1961, when he settled in Cape Dorset because of declining health and a hunting accident. Biography Parr was born in 1893 on Southern Baffin Island, near Cape Dorset, Northwest Territories (now Nunavut). He had two sons, Nuna Parr and Peter Parr, who are also artists. His wife, Eleeshushe Parr, was also an Inuit artist. Work In Cape Dorset, Parr began to draw and make stonecut relief prints. He created over 2,000 works in the next eight years. These are mainly images of hunting scenes, although Shamanic subjects are also depicted. In 1977 one of his prints was featured on a Canadian postage stamp. Parr, St Helens
Parr is a ward and historic township, located towards the eastern side of the town of St. Helens, England. The population of the ward at the 2011 census was 12,199. The township dates back to the West Derby hundred district from the 12th century. History In the mid 14th century, the manor of Parr was held by William Dacre, 2nd Baron Dacre. Salmon () is the common name for several commercially important species of euryhaline ray-finned fish from the family Salmonidae, which are native to tributaries of the North Atlantic (genus ''Salmo'') and North Pacific (genus ''Oncorhynchus'') basin. Other closely related fish in the same family include trout, char, grayling, whitefish, lenok and taimen. Salmon are typically anadromous: they hatch in the gravel beds of shallow fresh water streams, migrate to the ocean as adults and live like sea fish, then return to fresh water to reproduce. However, populations of several species are restricted to fresh water throughout their lives. The Pakistan Atomic Research Reactor or (PARR) are two nuclear research reactors and two other experimental neutron sources located in the PINSTECH Laboratory, Nilore, Islamabad, Pakistan. In addition a reprocessing facility referred to as New Labs also exists for nuclear weapons research and production. The first nuclear reactor was supplied and financially constructed by the Government of United States of America in the mid 1960s. The other reactor and reprocessing facility are built and supplied by Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) in the 1970s and 1980s, respectively.
