Adam Parr
Adam Parr (born 26 May 1965) is a British businessman known for his work in various fields including Formula 1 and investment to NGOs. He is the former CEO and chairman of Williams Grand Prix Holdings PLC, from November 2006 until 30 March 2012. Parr began his career working for BZW and moved to Rio Tinto before studying and practising public law. He later returned to Rio Tinto as assistant to the Chief Executive and chairman before being appointed CEO of Williams F1 in 2006. Since leaving Williams in 2012, Parr has completed a PhD in eighteenth-century history and literature at University College London; and been involved in business and not-for-profit activities. Jack Parr (March 13, 1936 – January 4, 2015) was an American professional basketball player. Parr was born in Louisville, Kentucky. He played college basketball at Kansas State University. Kansas State retired his jersey, and his number 33 is hanging from the rafters. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Royals in the 10th round of the 1958 NBA draft. He played 66 games for the Royals in 1958–1959, averaging 4.0 points per game. Hugo Ragnar Parr (born 23 April 1947) is a Norwegian physicist, civil servant and politician for the Labour Party (Norway), Labour Party. He was born in Asker. He took the B.Sc. degree in physics in 1968 and the M.Sc. degree in 1969, at the University of Washington. Henry Edward Parr (23 October 1915 – 2004) was an English footballer who made 112 appearances in the Football League playing for Lincoln City just after the Second World War. He played as an inside forward. Parr was capped for the England amateur team. Life and career Parr was born in Newark, Nottinghamshire. He was the nephew of England international footballer Willie Hall. While a player for Newark-based team Ransome & Marles, Parr was selected for The Rest to oppose the England Amateur eleven in an international trial in January 1939. Later that month he travelled as reserve for the amateur international against Ireland in Belfast. Gordon John Parr (born 6 December 1938) was an English footballer who played as a right half. He made over 280 Football League appearances in the years after the Second World War. Career Parr played locally for Bristol Boys whom he captained. Pat Beasley signed Parr in February 1957 for Bristol City as a speedy, tough tackling and ball winning wing half. Bristol City had a disastrous six match run in December 1957 which included five defeats whilst conceding 24 goals. Gordon Parr made his debut as a replacement for Alan Williams in the Second Division at left half v Middlesbrough on 28 December 1957 as a 0–0 draw brought the poor defensive run to an end. Parr made only 2 appearances in 1957–58 and none in the next two seasons of Second Division football. George Parr (22 May 1826 – 23 June 1891) was an English cricketer whose first-class career lasted from 1844 to 1870. Known popularly as the "Lion of the North", Parr was a right-handed batsman and bowled occasional right-handed underarm deliveries. Throughout his career he played mainly for Nottinghamshire, and was club captain from 1856 to 1870. He also made occasional appearances for other counties and for Marylebone Cricket Club. He was a stalwart of the All-England Eleven and was captain of the first England touring team, which went to North America in 1859. He also captained England's second tour to Australia and New Zealand in 1864, returning home unbeaten.
