Parker Mackay
Parker Mackay is a Canadian former ice hockey right wing. He was named as the NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player for Minnesota Duluth during the program's national championship in 2019. Career Mackay was a key contributor for his junior team, the Spruce Grove Saints, and helped them capture back-to-back AJHL championships. After captaining the team in his final year of junior hockey, Mackay began attending the University of Minnesota Duluth and began his college career as a depth player. As a sophomore, Mackay doubled his scoring production and helped the Bulldogs march all the way to the NCAA championship game. As a reward for his leadership and defensive play, Mackay was named as an alternate captain for his junior season and responded by increasing his point total once more. Irma, Alberta
Irma is a village in central Alberta, Canada. It is located northwest of Wainwright and 178 km southeast of Edmonton along Highway 14 and Highway 881. History The Village of Irma came into being in 1908 when the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway came through. Irma was later incorporated as a Village on May 30, 1912. The village was supposedly named after the daughter of the GTPR second vice-president General William Wainwright. Records show three major fires in the downtown area. These broke out in 1911, 1931 and 1963. Most of the buildings on the main street (now 50 Street) were reconstructed after the 1931 fire. Alberta's first rural high school was located in Irma; it was eventually replaced and the new school opened on November 4, 2019. National Collegiate Hockey Conference
The National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) is an NCAA men's Division I hockey conference formed on July 9, 2011. The league began playing for the 2013–14 season, the same season that the Big Ten Conference began competition, as a combination of six previous members of the WCHA and two of the CCHA. The league is headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Josh Fenton has served as conference commissioner since July 1, 2013. 2015–16 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Season
The 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey season began in October 2015 and ended with the 2016 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey tournament's championship game on April 9, 2016. This was the 69th season in which an NCAA ice hockey championship was held, and the 122nd year overall in which an NCAA school fielded a team. On January 22, 2016, Boston College coach Jerry York became the first NCAA hockey coach to win 1,000 games and only the second coach in the professional or amateur level to achieve 1,000 wins.
