Park Sung-hyun (golfer)
Park Sung-hyun (born 21 September 1993), also known as Sung Hyun Park, is a South Korean professional golfer playing on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour. She has won two LPGA majors championships, the 2017 U.S. Women's Open and the 2018 Women's PGA Championship. She was the number one ranked golfer in the Women's World Golf Rankings for a single week in 2017 and has returned to the number one spot in 2018 and 2019. Professional career From 2014 to 2016 Park played on the LPGA of Korea Tour. She won four times in 2015 and six times in 2016. Since 2017 Park has played on the LPGA Tour. The Women's World Golf Rankings, also known for sponsorship reasons as the Rolex Rankings, were introduced in February 2006. They are sanctioned by eight women's golf tours and the organisations behind them: Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA Tour), Ladies European Tour, Ladies Professional Golfers' Association of Japan (LPGA of Japan Tour), Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA of Korea Tour), Australian Ladies Professional Golf (ALPG Tour), Epson Tour, China Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour, the Ladies European Tour Access Series and also by The R&A, which administers the Women's British Open and the United States Golf Association which conducts the U.S. Women's Open. Choi Hye-jin ( ko, 최혜진; born 23 August 1999) is a South Korean professional golfer. Amateur career Choi represented South Korea at the 2014 Asian Games where she helped the team to a silver medal and finished fifth in the individual event. She help the Korean team to a third place finish at the 2014 Espirito Santo Trophy. In 2015, Choi won the World Junior Girls Championship, both individually and with the South Korean team. The Walmart NW Arkansas Championship is an annual women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour in Rogers, Arkansas, north of Fayetteville. First played in 2007, all editions of the tournament have been played at Pinnacle Country Club. Procter & Gamble (P&G), a manufacturer of a wide range of consumer goods, became the title sponsor in 2008. HSBC Women's World Championship
The HSBC Women's World Championship is a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour first held in 2008. It was played on the Garden Course of the Tanah Merah Country Club in eastern Singapore, adjacent to Singapore Changi Airport from 2008 to 2012. It is now played at the Sentosa Golf Club in Sentosa (Serapong Course from 2013 to 2016, Tanjong Course since 2017). In 2008 and 2009, entrance in the tournament was open to 78 of the world's top golfers, based on world rankings, recent tour wins, and other criteria. The total purse in the first two years was US$2 million, with the winner's share at $300,000. In 2010, the field was reduced to 63 players and the purse reduced to $1.3 million. Ariya Jutanugarn ( th, เอรียา จุฑานุกาล, , ; born 23 November 1995) is a Thai professional golfer who plays on the American-based LPGA Tour. She was born in Bangkok. She is the first golfer, male or female, from Thailand to win a major championship. She became the number one ranked golfer in the Women's World Golf Rankings in June 2017. Indy Women In Tech Championship
The Indy Women in Tech Championship was a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour, played in Indianapolis, Indiana. On September 27, 2016, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway announced that the LPGA would return to Indiana with a tournament at the Pete Dye-designed Brickyard Crossing Golf Resort at the speedway. Guggenheim Life and Annuity was named the sponsor of the Indy Women in Tech Championship, with the schedule from September 7–10, 2017. The Speedway had previously hosted PGA Tour and LPGA events on the former Speedway Golf Course (which was replaced with the Brickyard Crossing) in the 1960s, and a Champions Tour event in the 1990s on the Dye course. KPMG Women's PGA Championship
The Women's PGA Championship (branded as the KPMG Women's PGA Championship for sponsorship reasons) is a women's professional golf tournament. First held in 1955, it is one of five majors on the LPGA Tour. It is not recognized as a major by the Ladies European Tour, which does not recognize any of the three majors played in the United States. Nancy Marie Lopez (born January 6, 1957) is an American former professional golfer. She became a member of the LPGA Tour in 1977 and won 48 LPGA Tour events, including three major championships. Amateur career Lopez won the New Mexico Women's Amateur at age 12 in 1969, and the U.S. Girls' Junior in 1972 and 1974, at ages 15 and 17, respectively. Shortly after graduation from Goddard High School in Roswell, she played in the U.S. Women's Open as an amateur, first in 1974 and again in 1975 where she tied for second. As a collegiate freshman in 1976, Lopez was named All-American and Female Athlete of the Year for her play at the University of Tulsa.
