Parigi (Felino)
Parigi is an Italian village and hamlet (''frazione'') of Felino, a municipality in the province of Parma, Emilia-Romagna. The toponym derives from the French capital city, Paris, which in Italian is ''Parigi''. In 2009, it had a population of 21. The village located on a side road of the provincial highway SP32, named ''Via Ilario Bragazzi''. Composed by some farmhouses, it is close to Cinghio creek and to the villages of San Michele Tiorre, Ca' Cotti and La Resga. It is 1.6 km far from Pilastro, 1.2 from Calicella (both hamlets of Langhirano), 3 from Felino, and 17 from the city centre of Parma. San Michele Tiorre
San Michele Tiorre, also known as Tiorre, is an Italian village and the major hamlet (''frazione'') of Felino, a municipality in the province of Parma, Emilia-Romagna. As of 2009 its population was of 1,495. History The village, first mentioned in a parchment of 1092, grew around the castle of Tiorre, located on a hill and nowadays in ruins. Part of Felino from 1806, year of establishment of the municipality, San Michele Tiorre grew urbanistically in last decades of the 20th century, increasing the population. Felino (Parmigiano: ) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Parma in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about west of Bologna and about southwest of Parma. As of 2011 it had a population of 8,621. History The town developed around the castle, built in 9th century, and the municipality was established in 1806. The town is the traditional home of Salame di Felino, along with other cities in Parma.
