"Paranoid Android" is a song by English alternative rock band Radiohead, released as the lead single from their third studio album '' OK Computer'' (1997) on 26 May 1997. The lyrics were written by singer Thom Yorke following an unpleasant experience in a Los Angeles bar. The song is over six minutes long and contains four sections. The name is taken from Marvin the Paranoid Android from the science fiction series ''The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.'' "Paranoid Android" charted at number three on the UK Singles Chart, their highest-charting position in the UK to date, and received acclaim from music critics, many of whom compared it to the songs "Happiness Is a Warm Gun" by The Beatles and "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen. Radiohead
Radiohead are an English rock band formed in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, in 1985. Bath, Somerset
Bath () is a city in the Bath and North East Somerset unitary area in the county of Somerset, England, known for and named after its Roman-built baths. At the 2021 Census, the population was 101,557. Bath is in the valley of the River Avon, west of London and southeast of Bristol. Heavy Rotation
In broadcasting, rotation is the repeated airing of a limited playlist of songs on a radio station or satellite radio channel, or music videos on a TV network. They are usually in a different order each time. However, they are not completely shuffled, so as to avoid varying the time between any two consecutive plays of a given song by either too much or too little. When measuring airplay, the number of times a song is played is counted as spins. Stations playing new music typically have a short rotation of around four hours, while stations playing "classics" may go as long as eight hours, with a few stations promising "no repeats" where a song is not played again during a broadcast day to allow a much broader playlist (or if there is a purposeful repeat on that type of station, it ties into a station contest for a prize, such as tickets to the played artist's concert). Magnus Carlsson (born April 20, 1965) is a Swedish illustrator, director and animator. Biography Carlsson was born in Gothemburg, Västra Götaland, and is one of Sweden's best known and most active animators. He started animating professionally in 1988, and has since created a series of animated films and television series. Among other things, he has created ''The Three Friends and Jerry'', which has been distributed to over 100 countries. He also created Radiohead's video for the song "Paranoid Android", for which he was nominated for a number of MTV Video Music Awards.
