Paralio Astros
Paralio Astros ( el, Παράλιο Άστρος) is a port serving the inland town of Astros, Arcadia, Greece. It is part of the municipality North Kynouria and is considered a traditional settlement. As of 2011, the port had 1,043 permanent inhabitants. Paralio Astros possesses beaches and a harbour (renovated in 2015) which can accommodate small ships. A medieval Frankish fortress commands the heights of a peninsula called "The Island" which juts out to form the harbour. The main square is at the foot of the castle mount. Nowadays its principal industry is tourism. It is a popular vacation spot for inhabitants of Tripoli and other parts of Greece. Arcadia ( el, Αρκαδία, ''Arkadía'' ) is one of the regional units of Greece. It is part of the administrative region of Peloponnese. It is in the central and eastern part of the Peloponnese peninsula. It takes its name from the mythological figure Arcas. In Greek mythology, it was the home of the god Pan. In European Renaissance arts, Arcadia was celebrated as an unspoiled, harmonious wilderness. North Kynouria or Vóreia Kynouría ( el, Βόρεια Κυνουρία) is a municipality in Arcadia, Greece. It is located in the eastern part of the regional unit, between the northwestern shores of the Argolic Gulf and northern Laconia. Its land area is 576.981 km². Its population is 10,341 (2011 census). The seat of the municipality is in Astros (pop. 2,408). Astros (Greek: Άστρος ) is a town near the Argolic Gulf in the northeast Peloponnese in eastern Arcadia. Tripoli, Greece
Tripoli ( el, Τρίπολη, ''Trípoli'', formerly , ''Trípolis''; earlier ''Tripolitsá'') is a city in the central part of the Peloponnese, in Greece. Lepida Gorge
The Lepida Gorge ( el, Φαράγγι Λεπίδας) is a natural formation of Mount Parnon, located in the region of Arcadia, Peloponnese. Despite having a length of only 500 metres, a relatively big waterfall of 70 meters height and a smaller one of 45 meters run through its course. The waterfalls' springs start from the ''Xirokabi'' plateau, located between the village of Agios Ioannis and Malevi monastery. As the river flows down from the plateau to the gorge, it forms little lakes throughout its course. The first waterfall is located at a distance of 3 kilometers from the village of Agios Ioannis. Access to its base is via a dirt road and after a short hike on a path of about 200 meters. The second waterfall (called "Melissi") is located at a distance of 1.5 km from the village of Platanos, on the road to Astros and at a distance of 19 km from the latter.
