Panorama De L'enfer
is a 1984 one shot Japanese horror manga by Hideshi Hino. It was published in the United States by Blast Books and in France as ''Panorama de l'enfer'' by Éditions IMHO in 2004. Synopsis An artist describes his work, consisting of hellish views he paints using his own blood. He then introduces the reader to his unconventional family, and tells stories about his abusive parents, who escaped from Manchuria after World War II, and his violent childhood. Eventually, his plan to paint a final masterpiece, a full-scale "Hell on Earth" unfolds. Horror comics are comic books, graphic novels, black-and-white comics magazines, and manga focusing on horror fiction. Hideshi Hino (日野日出志 ''Hino Hideshi'', born April 19, 1946) is a Japanese manga artist who specializes in horror stories. His comics include ''Hell Baby'', ''Hino Horrors'', and '' Panorama of Hell''. He also wrote and directed two entries in the ''Guinea Pig'' series of horror films: ''Flower of Flesh and Blood'' (1985), and '' Mermaid in a Manhole'' (1988). Biography Hideshi Hino was born in Qiqihar to Japanese immigrant workers in Japanese-occupied Northeast China just when Japan surrendered at the end of World War II to the invading Soviet forces. His family escaped to Japan fearing retribution from Chinese civilians, so his town gathered up everybody and started to make their move to the remaining internationally governed harbours. The Prize for Best Album (''Prix du meilleur album''), also known as the ''Fauve d'Or'' ("Golden Wildcat"), is awarded to comics authors at the Angoulême International Comics Festival. As is the customary practice in Wikipedia for listing awards such as Academy Awards, Oscar results, the winner of the award for that year is listed first, the others listed below are the nominees. At the first two festivals (1974 and 1975), prizes were given only to creators, not books. From 1976 to 1978, the "best work" award was presented in four categories, foreign and French realistic and comical work. In 1981, the award was revived as simply "best album."
