Pamulaparthi Sadasiva Rao
Pamulaparthi Sadasiva Rao (17 July 1921 – 26 August 1996) was a thinker, philosopher, and free lance journalist. He started the monthly magazine '' Kakatiya Patrika in 1944'' in Warangal, India, in 1948 with his cousin P. V. Narasimha Rao, later Prime Minister of India. Early life Sadasiva Rao was born in Warangal to Durgabai and Hanumantha Rao. He was educated at the then Collegiate High School, Hanamkonda in Warangal district of the then Hyderabad State. Literary career Among his Telugu writings were ''GatiTarkika Bhotika Vadam'' (on dialectic materialism), ''Charitra, Sanskriti'', ''Kala'' (history, tradition, culture and art), and ''Tatva Shastra Praadhamika Paathalu'' (fundamentals of philosophy). He translated ''Theory of Knowledge'', an English language book by Maurice Cornforth, into the Telugu ''Gyana Siddhantam'', published by the Visalandhra Publishing House. Dialectic Materialism
Dialectical materialism is a philosophy of science, history, and nature developed in Europe and based on the writings of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. Marxist dialectics, as a materialist philosophy, emphasizes the importance of real-world conditions and the presence of contradictions within things, in relation to but not limited to class, labor, and socioeconomic interactions. This is in contrast to the idealist Hegelian dialectic, which emphasizes the observation that contradictions in material phenomena could be resolved by analyzing them and synthesizing a solution whilst retaining their essence. Marx supposed that the most effective solution to the problems caused by said contradictory phenomena was to address and rearrange the systems of social organization at the root of the problems. Kakatiya University
Kakatiya University is a public university located in Hanmakonda, Warangal in the Indian state of Telangana. It was most recently accredited with an "A" Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council of India on 12 September 2017. The university offers about 120 programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the faculties of arts, science, commerce and business management, social sciences, education, engineering and pharmaceutical sciences with constituent and affiliated colleges spread over 12 districts of Telangana. The faculties include 248 teaching staff and 622 non-teaching staff. Academics The university has a network of eleven constituent colleges with twenty-eight departments. Visalandhra Publishing House
The Visalandhra, Vishalandhra or Vishala Andhra was a movement in post-independence India for a united state for all Telugu speakers, a Greater Andhra ( te, విశాలాంధ్ర ''Viśālāndhra''). This movement was led by the Communist Party of India under the banner of Andhra Mahasabha with a demand to merge all the Telugu-speaking areas into one state. (The Communist Party of India demanded for the formation of similar linguistic states across India.) The movement succeeded and a separate state of Andhra Pradesh was formed by merging Telugu-speaking areas of Hyderabad State (now known as ''Telangana'') with Andhra State on 1 November 1956 as part of the States Reorganisation Act.
