Kakatiya University
Kakatiya University is a public university located in Hanmakonda, Warangal in the Indian state of Telangana. It was most recently accredited with an "A" Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council of India on 12 September 2017. The university offers about 120 programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the faculties of arts, science, commerce and business management, social sciences, education, engineering and pharmaceutical sciences with constituent and affiliated colleges spread over 12 districts of Telangana. The faculties include 248 teaching staff and 622 non-teaching staff. Academics The university has a network of eleven constituent colleges with twenty-eight departments. During 2011-2012, enrollment of students for under-graduate programs was around 90,000 in the 2004-2005 school year, according to the university's own website, while it was 8,000 for post-graduate courses. Vidyavati, former Vice-Chancellor, Kakatiya University, Warangal, Telangana, India was born on 15 September 1939, in Goud community. She is President of Phycological Society of India. Pilli Alfred James
P. Alfred James (1931–1983) was an Indian Academic, best known for his association with the Kakatiya University, a State-run University u/s 2 (f) of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 where he was Professor and Head of the Department of Public Administration in the 1970s. He was also a member of the Indian Institute of Public Administration in which he was an active member, chairing sessions of its annual workshops. Governor Of Telangana
The governor of Telangana is the head of state of the Indian state of Telangana. The governors have similar powers and functions at the state level as those of the President of India at central level.
