Pampanga International Circuit
The Pampanga International Circuit, is a motor racing and kart racing venue located in Alviera, Porac, Pampanga, Philippines. It is operated by the City Kart Racing Group and hosts the Sodi World Series and the Rotax Max Asia Challenge in the Philippines. Opened to the general public in 2019, the circuit features short and long course layouts. History The circuit, located inside the SandBox Adventure Park in Porac, Pampanga, opened to the public on November 30, 2019 after two years of design and construction. To mark the grand opening of the Pampanga International Circuit, it hosted back-to-back events over a 3-day race weekend from November 29 to December 1. The 12 Hour Sodi World Series (SWS) Endurance Race then followed, where 13 teams competed round-the-clock from dusk ’til dawn. It obtained CIK-FIA homologation shortly after. Rotax Max Challenge
The Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals (RMC) is a kart racing series owned and organized worldwide by BRP-Powertrain and its distributors, approved and in compliance with CIK-FIA. Competition takes place on a club, national and international level which culminates in the Grand Finals once a year. Concept The RMC follows a "one-make-engine" formula: only Rotax Max kart engines are allowed. The success in the competition is mainly up to the skills of the driver and that driver's experience in the set up of the engine and the chassis. Porac, officially the Municipality of Porac ( pam, Balen ning Porac; fil, Bayan ng Porac), is a 1st class municipality in the province of Pampanga, Philippines. The Commission Internationale de Karting (CIK or CIK-FIA) is the primary international sanctioning body for kart racing. It was founded in 1962, and is headquartered in Paris, France. In 2000, it joined with the FIA. Its most important event is the Karting World Championship. CIK's current president, former Formula One driver Felipe Massa, took office in December 2017. Kart racing or karting is a road racing variant of motorsport with open-wheel, four-wheeled vehicles known as go-karts or shifter karts. They are usually raced on kart circuit, scaled-down circuits, although some professional kart races are also held on full-size motorsport circuits.
