Palomares League
Palomares League is a high school athletic league in Southern California. It is a member of the CIF Southern Section, serving the eastern San Gabriel Valley and Chino Hills in San Bernardino County. The 2014–15 school year will be its inaugural season. Several of these schools were previously in what was known as the Sierra League. During the 2013 re-leaguing process, the new Palomares League was reorganized twice. The first vote on March 21 was annulled after an arbitration case brought by Damien High School and St. Lucy's Priory High School. Both private Catholic schools objected to being placed into Parochial Leagues. A new vote took place in May. The league is part of the Central Division, which also includes the Mt. Baldy League and Hacienda League. CIF Southern Section
The California Interscholastic Federation-Southern Section (CIF-SS) is the governing body for high school athletics in most of Southern California and is the largest of the ten sections that comprise the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF). Its membership includes most public and private high schools in Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, and central and southern Santa Barbara counties. At the start of the 2018/9 season, 13 schools from San Luis Obispo County and northern Santa Barbara County left the Southern Section to join the much smaller CIF Central Section. Teams from the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and surrounding areas have competed in the CIF Los Angeles City Section since 1935. CIFSS's offices are located in Los Alamitos. Chino Hills, California
Chino Hills (''Chino'', Spanish for "Curly") is a city located in the southwestern corner of San Bernardino County, California, United States. The city borders Los Angeles County on its northwest side, Orange County to its south and southwest, and Riverside County to its southeast. Damien High School
Damien High School is an all-boys Roman Catholic high school in La Verne, in the U.S. state of California named for Saint Damien of Molokai. The school had its first graduating class in 1963. Alta Loma High School is a public high school located in Rancho Cucamonga, California, United States, and is part of the Chaffey Joint Union High School District. Bonita High School
Bonita High School is a high school located in the city of La Verne, California in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. Opened in 1903, it was the first high school in the Bonita Unified School District. It moved to its current campus in 1959. The majority of its students come from Ramona Middle School, which is also located in La Verne. The Bearcat athletic teams compete in the Palomares League of the CIF Southern Section. Colony High School is a high school located in Ontario, California and is part of the Chaffey Joint Union High School District. Glendora High School
Glendora High School (GHS) is located in Glendora, California, Glendora, Los Angeles County, California, United States. History The high school was built in 1958 on land owned by Clarks Gordan, an orange grower. Before it was built, Glendora students attended Citrus College which functioned as both a high school and junior college for the area. The land contained oak trees which still grow on the school grounds. The first graduating class of GHS was in 1959 and contained 188 students. The school's teams are known as the Glendora Tartans.
