The PalmPilot Professional is a personal digital assistant. While the PalmPilot was released March 10, 1997 as an updated version of the Pilot 5000, there was delayed general availability of the Professional model in the marketplace. A personal digital assistant (PDA), also known as a handheld PC, is a variety mobile device which functions as a personal information manager. Motorola/Freescale Semiconductor's DragonBall, or MC68328, is a microcontroller design based on the famous 68000 core, but implemented as an all-in-one low-power system for handheld computer use.
