Palayathu Amman
''Palayathu Amman'' is a 2000 Indian Tamil-language Hindu devotional film directed by Rama Narayanan. Meena plays the lead role as goddess Amman, while Ramki, Divya Unni, Charan Raj, and Vivek play supporting roles. Plot The film starts with a saint in a gurukulam announcing to his students that Devi's birth to kill the evil shall come soon. The Satan kills the saint, but Devi's birth is not stopped. It grows up as a child for Shekar and Savithri. The child gets all kinds of harms from the Satan, but the Goddess Palayathu Amman saves it every time. At the same time, Savithri thinks Palayathu Amman wants to take away her child, so she tries to save it from her. At last, the child is kidnapped and about to be killed when Palayathu Amman kills the Satan and returns the child to her parents. Rama Narayanan
Rama Narayanan (3 April 1949 – 22 June 2014) was an Indian film director and producer. In the 1980s, he was known as a director who specialized in shooting commercial films in which animals played vital roles, while in the 1990s, several of his films were based on Hindu devotional subjects. He has also headed the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) for three consecutive elections, before resigning in 2011. He died on 22 June 2014 at a Singapore hospital due to kidney-related ailments. Career Narayanan came to Chennai intending to become a songwriter, but he became a dialogue writer for films. He and his friend M. A. Khaja started to write dialogues together under the pen name Ram-Rahim. In 1976, Narayanan wrote his first story, screenplay and dialogue for the film ''Aasai Arubadhu Naal''. Nagoor Babu, known by his stage name Mano, is an Indian playback singer, voice-over artist, actor, producer, television anchor and composer.
