''Pal'' is the debut solo album by Indipop playback singer KK. It was released on 16 April 1999 by Sony , commonly stylized as SONY, is a Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, Japan. Krishnakumar Kunnath (23 August 1968 – 31 May 2022), popularly known as KK, was an Indian playback singer. Regarded as one of the best and most versatile singers in India, he recorded songs in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Bengali, Assamese and Gujarati. KK began his career by singing advertising jingles and made his film debut in 1996 on an A. R. Rahman soundtrack. He released his debut album, ''Pal'' in 1999. Humsafar is the second album of playback singer " KK" (Krishnakumar Kunnath), released in January 2008. The music was composed by KK himself and lyrics were by Mehboob in Hindi, and KK in English. Overview Humsafar, came eight years after the release of KK's super-hit debut album Pal. It belongs to the pop-rock genre and has a total of 10 songs. Humsafar has two songs - ''"Din Ho Ya Raat"'' and ''"Mehki Hawa"'' - from Pal, KK's earlier album. A playback singer, also known as a ghost singer, is a singer whose singing is pre-recorded for use in films. Playback singers record songs for soundtracks, and actors or actresses lip-sync the songs for cameras; the actual singer does not appear on the screen. Mehboob Alam Kotwal (credited as Mehboob Kotwal or simply Mehboob) is a Bollywood film lyricist. He was born in the year 1961 in Bandra West, Mumbai and brought up in Mumbai city of Maharashtra, where he also received his primary education, first in English and later in Urdubr> Career In 1986, Mehboob met music composer Ismail Darbar who played violin in film orchestras those days. It was Darbar who taught him the difference between poetry and film lyrics. Darbar introduced Mehboob to filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma and he began his song writing career with Varma's 1992 film Drohi whose music was composed by R.D. Burman. He then worked with A.R.
