Pajama Party (group)
Pajama Party was an American female vocal trio from Brooklyn, New York active between 1988 and 1992. The original members were Jennifer McQuilkin of New Jersey, Daphne Rubin-Vega of Panama, and Suzi Ranta of Michigan with songwriter Peggy Sendars and songwriter/producer Jim Klein. Career The group originally consisted of Daphne Rubin-Vega, Jennifer McQuilkin, and Suzi Ranta, with Jennifer singing lead, but McQuilkin and Ranta were replaced in 1989 by Lynn Critelli and Amanda Homi. The band's biggest hit single, "Yo No Sé" (1988) (sung by Jennifer McQuilkin), was one of the first freestyle songs in which the title was entirely in the Spanish language, which peaked at #75 on the Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart. Their second single "Over and Over (Pajama Party song), Over and Over" (originally performed by Brenda K. Starr) peaked at 59 on the Hot 100. Linear (pronounced: ; ) is an American freestyle- pop group from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The lineup originally consisted of founder, vocalist, and main songwriter Charlie Pennachio, bassist and guitar player Wyatt Pauley, percussion player Joey Restivo, drummer Gerald Rappaport, guitarist Phil Conneilly, and backup vocalist/keyboardist Ricki Archer. In 1989, the band had a hit with the gold single, "Sending All My Love," which was self-released on Futura Records by Pennachio and producer Tolga Katas. After the regional success of the single, founder Charlie Pennachio added the remaining band members Pauley, Restivo, Rappaport, Conneilly and Archer. ''Can't LIVE Without It'' was the only live album release from American hardcore punk/speed metal band, Gang Green. It was recorded at The Marquee Club in London, UK on February 25, 1990, and was released by Roadrunner Records later that year. It features one line up change from their previous two albums – Josh Pappe had joined from fellow crossover thrash band, D.R.I., to replace Joe Gittleman who had been fired shortly after the release of the studio album, '' Older... After finishing a headline tour of Europe, of which this material was a part, Fritz Ericson retired, Josh Pappe got married, and long-term drummer, Brian Betzger decided to start a pool hall. Fever Records was a New York City record label of the 1980s, founded by promoter Sal Abbatiello. The label was marketed and distributed by Sutra Records until the latter went under, which precipitated a distribution deal with Russell Simmons's RAL division of Def Jam Recordings.
