Paheli (1977 Film)
''Paheli'' (Hindi: पहेली; translation: riddle) is a 1977 Indian Hindi-language film produced by Tarachand Barjatya for Rajshri Productions. This family drama was directed by Prashant Nanda with Satyajeet and Nameeta Chandra playing the lead characters. Arun Govil, Nameeta Chandra, Poornima Jayaram, Neena Mahapatra and Anita Singh were debutants to Bollywood screen in this film and Suresh Wadkar as playback singer. Prashanta Nanda (born 2 May 1947) is an Indian director, actor and politician from the state of Odisha. Suresh Wadkar
Suresh Ishwar Wadkar (born 7 August 1955) is an Indian playback singer. He performs in both Hindi and Marathi films. He has sung songs in some Bhojpuri films, Odia albums and bhajans and in Konkani films. He was awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for 2018 for Sugam Sangeet. In 2020, the Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri. Early life and musical training Wadkar was born in Kolhapur in a middle-class family that soon moved to Girangaon. Hemlata (born 16 August 1954) is an Indian classically trained playback singer in Bollywood. She is best known for her songs in the late 1970s, especially Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se song. Tarachand Barjatya (10 May 1914 – 21 September 1992) was an Indian film producer. He has produced many Hindi films from the 1960s through to the 1980s. He founded Rajshri Productions which continues to produce films even today. His mainstay was family-oriented films based on family values. He was born in Kuchaman City in Rajasthan in a Marwari Jain Family in 1914. He studied at Vidyasagar College, Calcutta. He established Rajshri Pictures (P) Ltd. in 1947.
