Paeroa Railway Station
Paeroa railway station is a former railway station in Paeroa; on the Thames Branch, and on the East Coast Main Trunk Railway to Waihi. Between 1895 and 1991 Paeroa had a station at the north end of the town centre, followed by one further north, another back near the town centre and then another over a mile south of the town. 1895 station The first station was opened on 20 December 1895 by the local MP and Railways Minister, Alfred Cadman, when the line was extended from Te Aroha. It was at the north end of the main street, between Belmont Road and Railway Street. A coal shed and telephone office were added in 1896, when the special station also had a platform, cart approach, x goods shed, loading bank, cattle yards, engine turntable and shed, stationmaster's house, urinals and a passing loop for 44 wagons. Tararu
Tararu is a former gold-mining village on the west coast of the Coromandel Peninsula of New Zealand. State Highway 25 runs through it; Te Puru being about to the north, and Thames about to the south. Tararu has a boat ramp, a 91-dwelling retirement village, a store, 2 motels, a holiday park and is the northern terminus of the Thames Connector bus. Hunua () is a small settlement in the rural outskirts of south Auckland, New Zealand. Hunua is east of Papakura, from Hunua Falls and lies at the foot of the Hunua Ranges, from where Auckland obtains most of its water supply. Manurewa railway station is a station serving the suburb of Manurewa in Auckland, New Zealand. It is located on the Southern Line of the Auckland railway network. Paeroa–Pokeno Line
The Paeroa-Pokeno railway line or deviation in the upper North Island of New Zealand between Paeroa on the East Coast Main Trunk (ECMT) and Pokeno on the North Island Main Trunk (NIMT) was a proposed route with construction started but abandoned. Goldfields Railway
The Goldfields Railway is a heritage railway that operates between Waihi and Waikino in the Bay of Plenty region of New Zealand's North Island. It operates over a section of track that was part of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway until the Kaimai Tunnel deviation made it redundant in 1978. The Railways Department's Housing Scheme refers to a housing programme undertaken by the New Zealand’s Railways during the 1920s. The scheme intended to provide Railway workers and their families with affordable and accessible accommodation during a time where it was overwise difficult to find suitable housing. Although the houses were generally only intended for workers of the Railways Department, some houses were provided for the general population such as in Lower Hutt. NZR AB Class
The NZR AB class was a class of 4-6-2 Pacific tender steam locomotive that operated on New Zealand's national railway system for New Zealand Railways (NZR).
