Padejsuk Pitsanurachan ( th, เผด็จศึก พิษณุราชันย์); is a Thai Muay Thai fighter who competed at the highest level of Muay Thai in the late 1970s. He was the 1979 King's Muay Thai Fighter of the Year. Biography and career Khamsej started Muay Thai at the age of 14, fighting under the name Seisuk Kwanjaithungmon. He had about 40 fights in various provinces accumulating wins agasint future champion such as Lom-Isan Sor.Thanikul, Nanfah Seeharajdesho and Nokweed Davy. In 1974 he moved to Bangkokg and joined the Pitsanurachan camp. Padejsuk was one of the best fighters of the late 1970s with wins against Samersing Tianhirun, Nongkhai Sor.Prapatsorn, Sagat Petchyindee, Vicharnnoi Porntawee, Narongnoi Kiatbandit, Dieselnoi Chor Thanasukarn, Posai Sitiboonlert and Jitti Muangkhonkaen. Ban Phai District
Ban Phai ( th, บ้านไผ่, ) is a district ('' amphoe'') of Khon Kaen province, northeastern Thailand. Geography Neighboring districts are (from the south clockwise): Pueai Noi, Nong Song Hong, Non Sila, Chonnabot, Mancha Khiri, and Ban Haet of Khon Kaen Province; Kosum Phisai and Kut Rang of Maha Sarakham province. This is a list of highly notable Muay Thai practitioners (also known as nak muay). Legend * Nai Khanomtom (circa 1700s) - a legendary Thai soldier and boxer during the era of the Ayutthaya Kingdom who become known as the founder of Muay Thai. Khanomtom lived during the Second Burmese War (1765–1767). At that time, the Ayutthaya Kingdom was losing its long-running conflict with the Konbaung dynasty. In 1767, the capital of the Ayutthaya Kingdom fell, and Khanomtom was one of the warriors who were captured and sent as a captive to the King of Burma. After seven years of captivity, King Mangra wanted to see how Thai fighters would compare to his fighters. Maitri Netmanee also known as Orachunnoi Hor Mahachai ( th, อรชุนน้อย ฮ.มหาชัย); is a retired Thai Muay Thai fighter and amateur boxer. Biography and career Orachunnoi was born in 1950 in the city of Tkhakek, Laos from thai parents working at the border. He grew up in the Ubon Ratchathani province where he started Muay Thai training at the age of 10 with his uncle. He later joined the Hor Machachai camp in Bangkok. On the main circuit in Bangkok he rapidly established himself as the best fighter around the flyweight limit, winning a Lumpinee stadium title. Due to his domination in the lighter divisions he was put in numerous weight handicap matches with differences going as high as 12 lbs. Jocky Sitkanpai ( th, จ๊อกกี้ ศิษย์กันภัย); is a Thai Muay Thai fighter who competed in the 1970s. Biography and career Phudta Naree started Muay Thai along his elder brother, he fought under the ring name Jocky Sing Sortor in Khon Kaen and neighbouring regions of Thailand until the age of 12. His powerful knees and fearless style beat many opponents in provincial arenas bringing him enough attention to be sent to the capital. Jocky made his first Bangkok appearance in 1971 for the Sor.For.Yor. Gym under the name Jocky Aor Wattana. He defeated many of the rising contenders of the era until his name was stained by a disqualification in a match against Petchmongkon Lerkchai at Rajadamnern Stadium. Ruengsak Porntawee ( th, เริงศักดิ์ พรทวี); also known as Ruengsak Petchyindee (เริงศักดิ์ เพชรยินดี) is a Thai Muay Thai fighter. Biography and career Samreeng Manyaing started Muay Thai training at the age of 13 with an aging boxer from his region. He fought under the name "Ruengsak Luklamplaimat" and dominated in Buriram and the neighboring provinces until he was brought to the Porntawee camp. He moved to Bangkok to join the Muangsurin camp in 1977. Raktae quickly rose to prominence, he captured the Rajadamnern Stadium 135 lbs title in 1979, defeating Yousop Sor.Thanikul by decision. Lumpinee Stadium
Lumpinee Boxing Stadium ( th, สนามเวทีมวยลุมพินี) is a sporting arena in Bangkok, Thailand. The stadium is named after Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha. Opened more than a decade later than Rajadamnern Stadium, Lumpinee is run by the Royal Thai Army. It has become the symbol of modern Muay Thai. Only Rajadamnern Stadium rivals the prestige of holding the title of "Muay Thai Champion of Lumpinee". The ranking system and championship titles are held from mini flyweight (105 lb) up to super welterweight (154 lb). Muay Thai bouts are held on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The fights usually start around 18:00. The final event at its original site on Rama IV Road near Lumphini Park was held on 8 February 2014.
