Don Luis Pacheco de Narváez (1570–1640) was a Spanish writer on ''destreza'', the Spanish art of fencing. He was a follower of Don Jerónimo Sánchez de Carranza. Some of his earlier works were compendia of Carranza's work while his later works were less derivative. He served as fencing master to King Philip IV of Spain. José Emilio Pacheco
José Emilio Pacheco Berny (June 30, 1939 – January 26, 2014) was a Mexican poet, essayist, novelist and short story writer. He is regarded as one of the major Mexican poets of the second half of the 20th century. The Berlin International Literature Festival has praised him as "one of the most significant contemporary Latin American poets". In 2009 he was awarded the Cervantes Prize for his literary oeuvre. He taught at UNAM, as well as the University of Maryland, College Park, the University of Essex, and many others in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Jesús López Pacheco (1930 in Madrid, Spain – April 6, 1997 in Toronto, Canada) was a novelist, translation, translator, poetry, poet and professor of Spanish. López Pacheco studied philosophy and arts (Romance languages) at the Complutense University of Madrid, University of Madrid. His communism, communist sympathies soon became evident and he participated in the fledgling anti-Francisco Franco, Franco student protests. María Luisa Pacheco (22 September 1919 – 23 April 1982) was a Bolivian painter and mixed-media artist who immigrated to the United States.
