Pablo Schwarz
Pablo Alfonso Schwarz Rabinovich (born Santiago, 9 October 1970) is a Chilean actor, noted for his extensive television, theater and film career. Raised in a family of teachers and actors, he began his theatrical career when he was only 9 years old, acting for the English-speaking company "Santiago Stage". Schwarz has made more than twenty characters for Chilean television and has appeared in more than 20 theatrical works in Chile and the world. Schwarz is widely known for his character "Juan del Burro" in the soap opera ''Sucupira'', broadcast on TVN in 1996. His participation in the film ''Cachimba'' by Silvio Caiozzi earned him a nomination for best actor by the Association of Show Journalists, as well as his role as "Iturra" from the series " Bala Loca" gave him the Altazor 2017 as best supporting actor. Canal 13 (Chile)
Canal 13 is a Chilean free-to-air television channel. It was launched on 21 August 1959, on VHF channel 2 of Santiago, in a broadcast led by a group of engineers from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. Subsequently, the TV station moved its frequency to VHF channel 13, which gave rise to its current name. In its beginnings, one of its most important milestones was the broadcast of the 1962 FIFA World Cup, held in Chile. ''Floribella'' is a soap opera that was produced in Brazil, Portugal and Chile. Each of those countries had their own cast, but the show had exactly the same name. Although they had the same name, all of them came from the first and original Argentine soap opera called '' Floricienta'', created by Cris Morena. Telenovela
A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs. Valeria Sarmiento
Valeria Sarmiento (born 29 October 1948) is a film editor, director and screenwriter best known for her work in France, Portugal and her native Chile. She has worked both in film and television, directing 20 feature films, documentaries and television series'. She is the widow of Chilean film director Raúl Ruiz (1941-2011) with whom she collaborated for decades as regular editor and co-writer. She has also edited films for Luc Moullet, Robert Kramer and Ventura Pons and is a Guggenheim Fellow (1988).
