Pablo Macera
Pablo Macera (19 December 1929 – 9 January 2020) was a Peruvian historian. Biography Pablo Macera did his primary studies at La Salle School where he already felt a predilection for the History course. His secondary education was made at the Hipólito Unanue School. At 16 he entered the Faculty of Letters and Law of the National University of San Marcos, later change his career for History. He graduated as a bachelor in 1960 with the thesis "Ensayos sobre el siglo XVIII en el Perú (cultura y economía)" and in France, as a doctor in 1962, with the thesis "La imagen francesa del Perú (siglos XVI -XIX)". He is the founder of the Andean Rural History Seminar, an institute belonging to the National University of San Marcos, of which he would be appointed professor emeritus. Pedro Abraham Valdelomar Pinto (April 27, 1888 - November 3, 1919) was a Peruvian narrator, poet, journalist, essayist and dramatist; he is considered the founder of the avant-garde in Peru, although more for his dandy-like public poses and his founding of the journal ''Colónida'' than for his own writing, which is lyrically ''posmodernista'' rather than aggressively experimental. Like Charles Baudelaire in 19th century Paris, he claimed to have made his country aware for the first time of the relationship between poetry and the market, and to have recognized the need for the writer to turn himself into a celebrity. He has been pictured on the Peruvian sol S/ 50 banknote since its introduction in 1991. Armando Villanueva del Campo (25 November 1915 – 14 April 2013) was a Peruvian politician who was the leader of the Peruvian American Popular Revolutionary Alliance. Born in Lima, his parents were Pedro Villanueva Urquijo, a gynecologist in the city, and Carmen Rosa Portal del Campo. His only legitimate sibling was his older brother Ing. Political career At the age of 15 Villanueva became a member of APRA's ''Juventud Aprista Peruana'' in opposition to the military dictatorship of Luis Miguel Sánchez Cerro. Juan Santos Atahualpa
Juan Santos Atahualpa Apu-Inca Huayna Capac (c. 1710 – c. 1756) was the messianic leader of a successful indigenous rebellion in the Amazon Basin and Andean foothills against the Viceroyalty of Peru in the Spanish Empire. The rebellion began in 1742 in the Gran Pajonal among the Asháninka people. The indigenous people expelled Roman Catholic missionaries and destroyed or forced the evacuation of 23 missions, many of them defended, in the central jungle area of Peru. Several Spanish military expeditions tried to suppress the rebellion but failed or were defeated. In 1752, Santos attempted to expand his rebellion into the Andes and gain the support of the highland people. He captured the town of Andamarca and held it for three days before withdrawing to the jungle. Santos disappeared from the historical record after 1752.
